نظر به نقش كاربردي گبه به عنوان يك قالي يا قاليچه عشايري ايران و وجود دنيايي از طرح ورنگ در يك بافته سنتي قديمي كه در دنياي مدرن امروز هنوز لطافت و هنر خود را حفظ كرده است و هنوز در ميان بسياري از مردم ناشناخته باقي مانده، بدين منظور هدف از ادامه مقاله‌اي كه در پيش‌روي شماست، شناساندن گبه و نقش مايه‌هاي گبه از ديرباز تاكنون كه بوسيله زنان هنرمند ايل، بخصوص اين بختياري برتار و پود اين دست بافته نقش بسته، مورد بررسي قرار گرفته است. ضمناً در اين مقاله با توجه به اهميت نقش و رنگ و بافت، فرهنگ و آداب و رسوم و شرايط اقليمي بختياري‌ها به عنوان يكي از شاخص‌ترين افرادي كه تاكنون به بافت گبه پرداخته‌اند مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفته است. در اين نگاه كه با استفاده از روش تحقيق ميداني و كتابخانه‌اي صورت گرفته، اميد است آنگونه كه شايسته اين دست بافته سنتي ايران بوده توانسته باشيم تلاش مردمان هرچند بي‌آلايش و ساده را ارج نهيم.

Gabbeh, a variation of rug weaved by Iranian nomads, has maintained a crucial part in the Iranian culture. A galaxy of colors and designs, the traditional fabric has still retained its position as an embodiment of delicacy and art. Ironically however, many people have yet to know the handicraft. The present article is aimed to be a remedy promotional effort to the shortfall. It aims to introduce the landmark handicraft. It also aims to describe various designs of weaving which from antiquity to present have told the female Bakhtiyari artisans how to knit the warps or wefts. Also in light of the significance of design, color and texture in weaving a Gabbeh, the author reviews the traditions and customs the Bakhtiyari tribe, as major weavers of Gabbeh, practices and the climatic conditions they live in. The author has conducted a blend of field and library study in this research and hopes it would help live up to the status of the traditional Iranian hand woven craft and appreciate its creatorsʹ efforts.
