مقايسه تاثير استفاده از دستكش لاتكس و نيتريل بر مهارت دست در جمعيت ايراني

Comparison of the effect of using latex and nitrile gloves hand dexterity among Iranian population

مقدمه: افت مهارت دستي ناشي از پوشيدن دستكش?هاي لاتكس و نيتريل مورد استفاده در ميان كاركنان مراقبت?هاي بهداشت و درمان و آزمايشگاه‌ها امري قابل توجه است چراكه ممكن است پيامدهاي نامطلوبي را به همراه داشته باشد. مطالعه حاضر به منظور مقايسه تاثير استفاده از دستكش لاتكس و نيتريل آزمايشگاهي بر مهارت دست انجام گرديد. . روش كار: در يك مطالعه نيمه تجربي 30 نفر از دانشجويان دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اروميه به طور تصادفي انتخاب شدند. افراد مورد مطالعه در سه حالت از شرايط آزمايشگاهي شامل شرايط كنترل (بدون استفاده از دستكش)، استفاده از دستكش لاتكس و استفاده از دستكش نيتريل قرار گرفته و با استفاده از تست پرديو پگ بورد، سطح مهارت درشت و مهارت ظريف دست اين افراد اندازه گيري شد. براي تجزيه و تحليل آماري داده?ها از آزمون?هاي آماري اندازه?گيري?هاي مكرر يك طرفه و همچنين T-test و ضريب همبستگي پيرسون استفاده گرديد. . يافته ها: نتايج حاصل از آناليز نشان مي دهد كه تفاوت آماري معناداري بين سه گروه از شرايط آزمايش براي امتياز مهارت ظريف و درشت وجود دارد (p < 0.05). به‌طوري‌كه دستكش لاتكس اثر مثبت و معناداري بر مهارت ظريف و درشت در مقايسه با دستكش نيتريل و گروه كنترل نشان داد، ولي دستكش نيتريل در مقايسه با گروه كنترل اختلاف معناداري نداشت. به عبارت ديگر دستكش نيتريل اثر منفي بر مهارت ظريف و درشت دست ندارد. . نتيجه گيري: با توجه به اينكه امتياز هر دو مهارت ظريف و درشت دست در استفاده از دستكش نيتريل در مقايسه با شرايط كنترل (بدون استفاده از دستكش)، اختلاف معناداري نشان نداد، به عبارت ديگر استفاده از دستكش نيتريل تاثير سويي بر مهارت دست ندارد، لذا استفاده از آن به‌عنوان جايگزيني براي دستكش هاي لاتكس با در نظر گرفتن مزيت عدم ايجاد واكنش هاي آلرژيك قابل تاييد مي باشد.

Introduction: Manual dexterity impairment due to wearing latex and nitrile gloves among health care employees and laboratory personnel can be a remarkable problem because of its adverse outcomes. The present study was conducted to “compare the effect of using latex and nitrile laboratory gloves on hand dexterity”. . Material and Method: In a semi experimental study design, 30 university were students randomly selected from Urmia University of medical sciences. Subjects assigned in three experimental conditions, such as the control condition (without gloves), with latex glove and with nitrile gloves. Then, dexterity level of fine finger and gross of the subjects were calculated using the Purdue pegboard test. Repeated measures one-way ANOVA test and T-test and Pearson’s correlation coefficient were used for statistical analysis. . Results: The result showed that the differences between three groups of laboratory conditions from the level of gross and fine finger dexterity were statistically significant (p‹0.05). As the latex gloves showed significant and positive effect on gross and fine finger dexterity comparable with nitrile gloves and control group but there was no significant difference between the gross and fine finger dexterity of nitrile gloves when comparing with the control group. In other words, the nitrile gloves had not negative effect on gross and fine finger dexterity. . Conclusion: Considering that there was no significant difference in the score of both fine finger and gross hand dexterity while using nitrile gloves as compared to the control condition (without gloves), means that use of nitrile gloves has no adverse effect on hand dexterity; therefore, using nitrile gloves is recommended as a alternative for the latex gloves, considering the additional advantage of no allergic reaction in this gloves.
