جايگاه موعودگرايي در آيين بوداي تبتي و علل گرايش به آن در عصر حاضر

The role of Messianism in Tibetan Buddhism and the reasons for its trend in the present era

ميتريه، موعود منجي در آيين بوداست كه متون مقدس همه سنت‌هاي بودايي، آمدن او را پيش‌گويي كرده‌اند. اصل و اساس اين پيش‌گويي‌ها به سخنان بودا در سه سبد كانون پالي بازگشت مي‌كند، اما در طي زمان، در هريك از سنت‌هاي بودايي ويژگي‌هايي پيدا كرده است كه در سنت‌هاي ديگر ديده نمي‌شود. از همين رو، اهميت و جايگاه امروزي ميتريه در هر يك از سنت‌هاي بودايي نيز متفاوت شده است. موعودگرايي آيين بوداي تبتي به دليل تاخر زماني و تاثيرپذيري از آيين هندو، گاهي موضوعاتي مانند رويارويي با اديان ابراهيمي، به‌ويژه اسلام را در خود دارد كه مورد توجه بسيار شرق‌شناسان نيز قرار گرفته است. همچنين از آن‌جا كه ميتريه با مسيله حكومت جهاني آينده در پيوند است، تاكيد دالايي لاماي چهاردهم _ رهبر سياسي و مذهبي آيين بوداي تبت _ بر احياي نام ميتريه و ساخت بزرگ‌ترين تنديس از ميتريه در شهر «بودگيا»ي هند _ كه طبق نقل تاريخ، بودا در آن‌جا به اشراق رسيد _ از نظر مذهبي و سياسي اهميتي ويژه پيدا مي‌كند. نوشتار حاضر ابتدا جايگاه ميتريه در سنت تبتي و ويژگي‌هاي خاص آن را بررسي مي‌كند و سپس به علل اصلي گرايش به احياي مجدد آن در تبت مي‌پردازد.

Mitreya , the savior promised in the Buddhism, have been foretold of his coming in scriptures of all Buddhist traditions. The principle focus of this prophecy traces back to the words of the Buddha in the three Pali baskets. Over time, however, the issue has gained features not found in other Buddhist traditions. Therefore, the present status and importance of Mitreya has also become different in different Buddhist traditions. The messianic beliefs in Tibetan Buddhism has gained considerable attention by many orientalists, because of the recency of time and the influence of Hinduism, often dealing with issues such as facing the Abrahamic religions , particularly Islam itself. Also there is a religious and political importance of this, because Mitreya is linked with the issue of global governance in the future, there is an emphasis by the Dalai Lama XIV, the political and religious leader of Tibetan Buddhism on restoring the concept of Mitreya. He also built the biggest statue of Mitreya a town called "Budgia" in India, which is referred to as the place where Buddha reached the ʹilluminationʹ. The present article deals with status of the Mitreya in Tibetan tradition and its special features, and then analyzes the main causes it is gaining new interest in Tibet.
