در سال هاي 1293-1324ش/1945-1914م كه دنيا دو جنگ جهاني را پشت سر گذاشت، عواقب وخيم و مخربي، بر بيشتر كشورهاي دور از صحنه جنگ علاوه بر كشورهاي محور، قابل مشاهده بود. ايران آن موقع صحنه كشمكش و رقابت هاي دو كشور روسيه در بخش شمالي و انگليس در بخش جنوبي بود، هر يك از آن دو به دنبال تامين منافع خود دم از حمايت ايران مي زدند. در اين شرايط ايران چيزي جز ضرر و زيان عايدش نشد. قحطي هم يكي از مصايبي بود كه نصيب كشور ما شد، فارس و جنوب هم گرفتار اين مشكل گرديد. مردم ايران گرچه قحطي را بارها تجربه كرده بودند، اما اين بار، خشكسالي هاي متوالي و حضور نيروهاي متفقين اين مسيله را تشديد مي كرد. فارس در معرض عبور و حمل و نقل متفقين قرار داشت كه در پي آن آسيب شديدتري بر اقتصاد منطقه وارد شد و قحطي اين ايالت را از ساير ايالات متمايز ساخت. اين پژوهش با رويكردي توصيفي- تحليلي بر آن است تا به علل و عوامل قحطي هاي فارس در طول سي سال از آغاز جنگ جهاني اول تا پايان جنگ جهاني دوم بپردازد.

In this situationIrandoes notgetanything butharm. Famine wasalso oneof thecalamities that Iran gained. Fars province and the south of Iran were caught into this problem. Iranians althoughhad experiencedfamine many times during the history, but successivedroughtsandtheAllieswouldexacerbatethisproblem. Fars province was the subject of transportation and shipping of the Allies and thatwasfollowed bymore serious damageon the local economyand famineintothis province was more distinguishable than otherprovinces in Iran. This article with adescriptiveapproach, isan analysisofthecausesof thestarvation in Fars provinceduringthe thirtyyearssincethe beginning ofWorld War I, till the end of World WarII.
