Investigating the Students Reasons in Referring to Counseling Center

هدف: هدف اين پژوهش، بررسي علل مراجعه دانشجويان به مركز مشاوره دانشگاه قم و مقايسه اين علل بين دانشجويان دختر و پسر بوده است. روش: روش پژوهش، توصيفي از نوع زمينه‌يابي است. جامعه آماري و نمونه، شامل 448 پرونده (218 مورد براي دختران و 230 مورد براي پسران) براي مراجعان در سال تحصيلي 90-89 بوده است. يافته‌ها: با بررسي دقيق پرونده‌ها، مشخص شد كه در مجموع، 10 مشكل روان‌شناختي علت مراجعه دانشجويان بوده كه از بين آنها پنج علت (به ترتيب مشكلات تحصيلي، مسايل ازدواج، ‌مسايل خانوادگي، اضطراب و افسردگي) بيش از 70 درصد موارد را به خود اختصاص داده است. البته اين ترتيب براي پسران و دختران متفاوت بود. در آزمون معناداري تفاوت بين علل مراجعه دانشجويان پسر و دختر با استفاده از آزمون خي دو (05/=?) مشخص شد كه به جز در ‌مسايل خانوادگي، مشكلات تحصيلي و افسردگي، در علل ديگر تفاوت معناداري بين آنها وجود نداشت. در ‌مسايل خانوادگي، دختران سه برابر پسران؛ در مشكلات تحصيلي، پسران دو و نيم برابر دختران و در افسردگي، پسران دو برابر دختران به مركز مشاوره مراجعه كرده بودند. نتيجه گيري: به نظر مي‌رسد به دليل شرايط فرهنگي و مذهبي حاكم بر دانشگاه قم ميزان شيوع مشكلات روان‌شناختي حاد در بين دانشجويان نسبت به ساير دانشگاه‌ها در وضعيت مناسب تري قرار دارد. پيشنهاد مي‌شود اولويت اول برنامه‌هاي مراكز مشاوره دانشجويي متمركز بر مشكلات تحصيلي، ازدواج، مسايل خانوادگي و افسردگي باشد و در اولويت‌هاي بعدي اضطراب و روابط اجتماعي مورد توجه قرار گيرند.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the reasons of students in attending the university of Qom counseling center and comparing these reasons among female and male students.Method: The methodology in this study is descriptive- survey. Statistical population and sample in this study include 448 client files (218 females and 230 males) in the period of academic year 89-90.Results: The 448 client files were precisely investigated. It was indicated that there were 10 psychological problems as the reasons of students referring to the counseling center which 5 of these reasons orderly were academic problems, marriage problems, family problems, anxiety and depression. The findings in this study show that 70 percent of these clientsʹ referring to counseling center involved those 5 reasons. These orderly reasons were not the same among female and male students. By using q squared test it was indicated that there was no significant differences between other reasons except family and academic problems and depression. This study also revealed that female students attendance to counseling center for presenting family problems were three times more than male students, and male students attendance to counseling center for presenting academic problems were 2.5 times more than female students.Conclusion: The author of the study concludes that because of cultural and religious conditions existing in this university; it seems that the rate of prevalence critical psychological problems among university of Qom students is in a better condition than other universities.
