در اين مقاله با بهره‌گيري از نظريه شرق‌شناسي ادوارد سعيد و غيريت‌سازي نظريه گفتمان، به رويارويي ادباي مسيحي عرب با فرهنگ اسلامي پرداخته و نشان داده شده است كه نقش مسيحيان عرب در اسلام‌ستيزي و گسترش نفوذ فرهنگي غرب به دنياي عرب به‌خصوص مديترانه عربي از جمله كشورهاي مصر، سوريه و تونس قابل توجه و بسيار گسترده بوده است و بر غيريت‌سازي از فرهنگ اسلامي تاكيد داشته‌اند. مهم‌ترين مصاديق برساختن هويت «غير» از فرهنگ اصيل اسلامي عربي در استهزاي فرهنگ و احكام اسلامي، قبح‌شكني از معاصي و خطوط قرمز اسلام همچون روابط نامشروع و خودكشي و ترويج برخي آموزه‌هاي مسيحي مانند: اعتراف به گناه يا معرفي مسيحيت به‌عنوان دين آرامش و مدارا، بي‌دين كردن خط و زبان عربي، بازنمايي اسلام به‌منزله ديني عقب‌مانده و مترادف با جهل و بي‌سوادي، تاريخ‌سازي و القاي آغاز دوران رونق و ترقي با ورود فرهنگ غرب به جهان عرب و نيز تصويرسازي از غرب و مهاجمان متجاوز به‌مثابه پيام‌آوران تمدن و پيشرفت، برخي از راهبردهاي اديبان مسيحي عرب در تاريخ معاصر در قالب داستان‌ها و اشعار به‌شمار مي‌رود.

This paper by using theory of orientalism and antagonism in theory of discourse studies the confrontation of Christian Arab literati with Islamic calture and it has been shown that the role of Christian Arab literati is Significant and widespread in anti Islamic activities and tthe cultural influence of the West, especially in the Arab world, including Egypt, Syria and Tunisia and they emphasized on antagonism of islam .
