Representation - Interpretation Theory in Farabiʹʹs Thought as a Language Tool for Linking Religion and Philosophy

ديدگاه فارابي درباره پيوند دين و فلسفه را مي‌توان در دو مقام پديداري، و فهم مورد بررسي قرار داد؛ نسبت دين و فلسفه در مقام پديداري از حيثيات مختلفي تشكيل شده است كه در برخي دين و فلسفه واحد هستند و در برخي ديگر فلسفه مقدم بر دين است. در اين مقام دين و فلسفه از حيث منشا، فاعل شناسا و مسايل واحد هستند، اما فلسفه از حيث زبان و زمان بر دين مقدم است. بر اساس گذار فارابي از رويكردي طبيعي به رويكردي وحياني، در ديدگاه وي درباره نحوه تقدم فلسفه بر دين از حيث زبان، دو نسخه اصلي قابل تشخيص است كه از آن‌ها با عنوان «تقدم منطقي» و «تقدم معرفت‌شناختي» ياد مي‌شود. از مجموع ديدگاه فارابي درباره نسبت دين و فلسفه در مقام پديداري با عنوان «تمثيل» ياد مي‌شود و مهم‌ترين عنصر اين مقام، تقدم فلسفه بر دين از حيث زبان است كه با وجود تمايز نسخه‌ها، در مباني اصلي مشترك هستند. بر اساس اين نظريه دين عبارت است از مثالات محاكي فلسفه كه با روش‌هاي اقناعي سروكار دارد. اما دين و فلسفه در مقام فهم نيز داراي تعاملاتي هستند كه از آن با عنوان «تاويل» ياد مي‌شود. بر اين اساس براي دست‌يابي به فلسفه ديني مي‌توان با استفاده از روش‌هاي تاويلي مورد نظر فارابي به حقايقي فلسفي كه مثالات محاكي از آن‌ها حكايت مي‌كنند، دست يافت.

Farabiʹs view about the relationship between religion and philosophy can be studied in two stages: the creation and understanding stages. The relationship between religion and philosophy in the creation stage has different dimensions, some of which consider philosophy and religion as identical and some others believe that philosophy has priority over religion. In the stage of creation, the origin, the subjects and problems of philosophy and religion are the same, but in terms of language and time philosophy have priority over religion.Based on Farabi’s transition from a natural approach to revelatory approach, there are two versions of the approach prioritizinglanguage of philosophy which are known as "logical priority" and "epistemological priority". Farabiʹs view about the relationship between religion and philosophy in the creation is called “representation" whose most important element is prioritization of language priority of philosophy over religion. Despite the distinction between the two versions, the basic principles are the same. According to this theory, the religion is mimesis of philosophy that deals with persuasive methods. Nonetheless, religion and philosophy has some relation in the understanding stage too which is called "interpretation”. Accordingly, interpretation methods adopted by Farabi can be used to achieve religious philosophy and philosophical truths.
