Public diplomacy of Islamic republic of Iran in Islamic World Opportunities, Actions, Priorities and Achievements

ديپلماسي عمومي رويكردي نوين در سياست‌خارجي كشورهاست كه مردم و به‌ويژه نخبگان جوامع ديگر را در روابط خارجي هدف قرار مي‌دهد. در سال‌هاي اخير بحث و تحقيق پيرامون ديپلماسي عمومي به‌ويژه در ايالات متحده آمريكا تعميق و توسعه يافته و پس از رخدادهاي 11 سپتامبر 2001 مطالعات و عمليات ديپلماسي عمومي آمريكا بر جهان اسلام متمركز شده است. اين در حالي است كه كشورهاي اسلامي كمتر به اين مقوله مي‌پردازند و توجه اندكي در به‌كارگيري آن دارند. نوشتار كنوني به دنبال پاسخي براي اين پرسش كه ديپلماسي عمومي جمهوري اسلامي ايران در جهان اسلام چگونه است، از الگوي مفهومي و راهبردي ديپلماسي عمومي الهام مي‌گيرد و با تمركز بر حوزه جغرافيايي جهان اسلام، ابعاد مختلف ديپلماسي عمومي ايران را بررسي مي‌كند. به باور نويسندگان منابع فرصت‌ساز قدرت نرم جمهوري اسلامي در چارچوب دو راهبرد آموزشي و رسانه‌اي در ديپلماسي عمومي به‌كارگرفته شده و با تمركز بر دو محور خاورميانه و آسياي مركزي، دستاوردهايي مانند گسترش بيداري اسلامي و افزايش عمق راهبردي ايران را به دنبال آورده‌اند.

The public diplomacy is a new approach in foreign policy that has been targeted people and especially elites in other countries. In recent years the debates and researches about public diplomacy has been developed especially in United States, after September 11the studies and operations in United States of America have been focused on Islamic world. However Islamic countries rarely pay attention to this issue and they are not concerned to consider it. This paper tries to find a response for this question: How is the public diplomacy of Islamic republic of Iran in Islamic World? So in this article by using the conceptual model and strategic public diplomacy and focusing on geographic region of Islamic world we try to study the different dimensions of public diplomacy .In this paper, the resources of making soft power for the Islamic republic of Iran have been utilized in two strategies including educational and media strategy of public diplomacy; then by focusing on the Middle East as well as central Asia , the achievements like the extension of Islamic awakening and the increasing of Iranian strategy among them have been observed.
