بررسي ميزان استفاده از كتاب هاي لاتين كتابخانه مركزي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي شهركرد از سال 1385 تا 1390

Evaluation of rate of reference to latin books of central library of Shahrekord university of medical sciences from 2006 to 2011

زمينه و هدف: دسترسي سريع و آسان به منابع اطلاعاتي توسط محققين، مدرسين و دانشجويان ركن اصلي و پايه آموزش و پژوهش در دانشگاه است. بدين منظور از منابع اطلاعاتي در كتابخانه ها بايد استفاده بهينه گردد. بنابراين پژوهش حاضر با هدف تعيين ميزان استفاده از كتاب هاي لاتين موجود در كتابخانه مركزي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي شهركرد انجام شده است. روش بررسي: در اين مطالعه توصيفي و مقطعي، داده هاي حاصل از دفعات امانت تمامي كتاب هاي لاتين و ترجمه شده به زبان فارسي موجود در كتابخانه مركزي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي شهركرد در طي مدت 6 سال (اول فروردين سال1385تا پايان سال 1390) بر اساس نرم افزار كتابخانه نسخه Diglib و دفاتر امانتي موجود (به تفكيك سال) از طريق مشاهده توسط پ‍ژوهشگر استخراج گرديد و با تلفيق اطلاعات بدست آمده در برنامه Excel و بررسي دفاتر امانت، نتيجه گيري نهايي انجام شد. يافته ها: يافته ها نشان داد كه ميزان استفاده از كتب لاتين در دوره مطالعه 1818 مورد و ميزان استفاده از كتب فارسي 54399 مورد بوده است. 5/70 % از كتب لاتين و 46/36% از كتب فارسي حتي يكبار هم در طي مدت 6 سال مطالعه به امانت برده نشده و دفعات استفاده از كتب فارسي بيشتر از كتب لاتين بوده است. بيشترين فراواني استفاده مربوط به رده بندي QX با66/66 % و كمترين فراواني مربوط به رده بندي QU با 57/3 % بوده است. نتيجه گيري: با توجه به نتايج به دست آمده، بار امانت كتب لاتين به مراتب كمتر از كتب فارسي بوده و لازم است در گزينش منابع اطلاعاتي و اطلاع رساني به موقع و صحيح به مراجعه كنندگان تدابيري صورت گيرد.

Background and aims: Quick and easy access to information resources by researchers, teachers and students is regarded as the main principles and the basis of teaching and research in university. To do this, information resources in libraries should be used optimally. Thus, This study aims to determine the rate of reference to available Latin books in the Central Library of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In this descriptive and cross-sectional study, lending number of all available Latin and translated Persian books in the central library of Shahrekord University of medical sciences during the period of 6 years (the first day of new year of 2006 up to the end of 2011) was determined based on the library software (Pars Azarakhsh), Diglib version and available lending offices (separated by year). Finally by combining the data from the Excel output and by analyzing data gained from lending offices, the conclusion was made. Results: The results show that the rate of reference to Latin books in this period was 1818 cases and that of Persian books was 54300 cases. In addition, 70.5% of the Latin books and 36.46% of the Persian books were not borrowed even once and the rate of reference to Persian books was more than that of Latin books. In this study, the most frequency of the reference was related to QX classification with 66.66% and the least frequency was associated to QU classification with 3.57%. Conclusion: according to the results of the present study, Latin books were borrowed lower than Persian books. More measures should be done to choose information resources and timely and accurate informing.
