روزنامه‌نگاري به مثابه «دانش» و روزنامه‌نگاري به مثابه «فن»؟

Journalism as a "Science" or Journalism as a "Technique"?

اين مقاله به مقوله روزنامه‌نگاري از دو منظر دانش و فن مي پردازد. براي نيل به اين هدف با تقسيم روزنامه‌نگاران در دو گروه «حرفه‌اي- تجربي» و «علمي-دانشگاهي» به چهار گروه، دو فرايند تبادلي «فن-دانش» و «دانش-فن» را در روزنامه‌نگاري، مورد مطالعه مشاهده گرايانه قرار مي‌دهد. با مطالعه تاريخي روندهاي شكل‌گيري روزنامه‌نگاري حرفه‌اي و سياسي و آموزش روزنامه‌نگاري در ايران و تحليل تجارب به دست آمده، مقاله به بررسي شكاف موجود در اين زمينه‌ها پرداخته و نتيجه مي‌گيرد كه روزنامه‌نگاري در ايران با چهار مساله روبروست: مساله غفلت از سنت و سرمايه روزنامه‌نگاري ايراني در دانشگاه و مطبوعات؛ مساله فهم نادرست و قطبي از دو مفهوم روزنامه‌نگاري حرفه‌اي و آكادميك در دانشگاه و مطبوعات، مساله گسستگي ميان دانش روزنامه‌نگاري كنوني و تحولات پرشتاب و فناورانه جهاني و مساله جايگاه و موقعيت نامناسب صنفي، شغلي و سياسي روزنامه‌نگاران در ايران.

The contribution and role of "science" and "technique" in advancement of journalism is one of the long-standing and still present issues in our world and press community. Although questioning the ratio between "academic training", "professional skills" and "practical experience", are historical questions, but they have an important place in future studies, too. Historically, the controversy between "scientific journalism" and "professional journalism" and also "idealist journalism" and "pragmatic journalism" has an ancient history, so the gaps and dissociations between these two forms of journalism can be considered as part of the press underdevelopment in Iran. In addition, the broad changes that have occurred by the influence of the new media and the development of information and communication technologies have opened new visions of journalism in both realms of science and opinion, and in the realm of technique. "Journalism for future" is a part of "journalism for development". So in the middle of these two historical and futurist necessities, we should know what the new journalism training issues are and where we should address them? This paper attempts to describe and classify two categories of scientific journalism training and experimental journalism in three institutions of "university", "skill increasing centers", and "Iranian press" through a historical and comparative study.
