چيستي معنا در منظر ابن‌عربي و علامه طباطبايي

The Nature of Meaning from the Point of View of Ibn Arabi and Allmeh Tabatabaei

چكيده ابن‌عربي(638-560 ق) كه به وجودشناسي معنا اهتمام دارد، معنا را حقيقتي خارجي و كلي مي‌داند كه در مراتب معنايي يك واژه مشترك است. هر واژه مراتبي از معنا دارد كه به صورت حقيقي بر همه آنها صدق مي‌كند. در اين نوشتار نظر عارف در مباحثي همچون فرايند شكل‌گيري معنا، تعيين واضع اصلي لفظ و معنا، ذاتي بودن دلالت لفظ بر معنا، نسبت معنا و علم خدا، عيني بودن لفظ و معنا بررسي مي‌شود. علامه طباطبايي (1360-1281) در پيروي از ابن‌عربي به نظريه روح معنا نظر مي‌دهد و افزون بر آن نظريه فايده‌انگاري معنا را مطرح مي‌كند. در اين مقاله نظر علامه در مباحثي همچون فرايند شكل‌گيري معنا، زبان قرآن و نسبت آن با زبان بشري، تاثير غايات در حقيقي بودن معنا در مصاديق فرامادي و برخي مسايل ديگر مطرح مي‌شود. در مباحث مطرح شده، كوشيده‌ايم آرا ابن‌عربي و علامه در باب معنا را مقايسه كنيم. هدف اصلي اين پژوهش بررسي آرا ابن‌عربي و علامه طباطبايي و مقايسه آنهاست و هدف فرعي آن، طرح مسايل و نكات جديد در اين باب و نظرورزي فلسفي و تحليلي در آنهاست. روش ما در اين مقاله، روش عقلي است.

Abstract Ibn Arabi (560 - 638 AH), whose main area of study was ontology of meaning, considers meaning as external and as something which is common to the semantic hierarchy of a word. Any word has a hierarchy of meaning and the word truly applies to all of them. The present article addresses Ibn Arabi’s views on topics such as the process of meaning formation, the determination of the originator of words and meanings, the inherent relationship between of terms and their meanings, the relationship between meaning and Godʹs Knowledge, and the objectivity of the term and meaning. As a follower of Ibn Arabi, Allameh Tabatabaei (1281 - 1360) discusses the theory of spiritual meaning along which he presents the theory of utilitarian meaning. The article presents Allameh Tabatabaeiʹs view on issues such as the process of meaning formation, Quranʹs language and its relation to human language, the effect of the Ends on the authenticity of meaning as related to meta-material referents and some other issues. In the presentation of issues, a comparison is made between ideas of Ibn Arabi and those of Allemeh regarding meaning. Though the main aim is to compare the ideas of Ibn Arabi and Allameh, an effort is also made to present new issues and topics related to the focus of the paper in an analytical and philosophical way. The method adopted is a rational one.
