Power Relation in the Thought of Michel Foucault

يكي از مجادله برانگيزترين مباحثات فكري در حوزه نظريه‌هاي سياسي، بحث پيرامون چرخش مفهوم قدرت در ديدگاه متفكراني نظير ميشل فوكو است. متفكران هم سِلك فوكو با عدول از ديدگاه‌هاي رايج، قدرت را نه صرفاً در ارتباط با سازوكارهاي ساختارهاي رسمي يا در قالب صرفاً سياسي، بلكه منتشر در تمام حوزه‌هاي اجتماعي مي‌دانند. فوكو خود مي‌گويد كه مي‌خواهد راه ديگري پيشنهاد كند كه ما را زودتر به «اقتصاد جديد روابط قدرت» برساند، راهي كه تجربي‌تر، داراي ارتباط نزديك‌تر با وضعيت جاري ما و متضمّن رابطه بيشتري ميان نظريه و عمل است. در اين مقاله سعي مي‌شود ابتدا خاستگاه فكري ميشل فوكو به عنوان يكي از تاثيرگذارترين متفكران قرن بيستم مورد بررسي قرار گيرد، سپس مفهوم قدرت و روابط آن با آزادي و دانش در ديدگاه اين متفكر مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گيرد.

Argument concerning the meaning of power is one of the most controversial issues in the thought of thinkers such as Michel Foucault. Foucault and his like-mined thinkers, with their departure from conventionally held opinion about power, believe that power does not reside only in the formal structures of politics but it is also in the whole fabric of society. Foucault himself points out that he intends to suggest a shorter way that would make us better understand the meaning of, as he puts it, “new economic of power relations”. His suggested method is more experimental, having closer relation with our current situation and guaranteeing the connection between theory and practice. In this article, it is tried to investigate the origin of Foucault’s thoughts as one of the influential thinkers of 20th century, and then analyze the concept of power and its relation to liberty and knowledge as expressed by Foucault.
