A Critical Review and Analysis of the phenomenon of Terrorism

تروريسم اعم از داخلي يا بين‌المللي در سراسر جهان فراگير شده است و در آغاز سده بيست و يكم از پيچيده ترين و دشوارترين مسايلي است كه از حيث اجراي قانون، جهان با آن مواجه است. در سراسر جهان، شرايط سياسي و اجتماعي بسيار متنوع و گوناگون به پيدايش گروه هاي تروريست منجر شده است. اساساً تروريسم، استفاده غيرقانوني از خشونت يا تهديد به خشونت بر ضد اشخاص يا اموال به قصد اهداف سياسي يا اجتماعي است. گروگان گيري، آدم ربايي، قتل سياسي و ترور، هواپيماربايي، خرابكاري، بمب‌گذاري و تيراندازي به افراد، اماكن و نهادهاي سياسي، اجتماعي، فرهنگي و علمي از جمله روش ها و تكنيك هاي تروريست هاست. هدف از تروريسم، ايجاد رعب و وحشت يا واداشتن حكومت، افراد يا گروه ها به تغيير رفتار يا سياست هاي آنها است. اين مقاله به بررسي مساله تروريسم، بازشناسي و تحليل آن مي پردازد.

Terrorism, either domestic or international, has become a wide spread phenomenon throughout world and is now viewed as one of the complex problems facing the world at the turn of this century. Various political and social conditions are believed to be fomenting terrorism and terrorist groups. Basically, terrorism is the illegal application of violence or threat against others or property with the political or social motives. Hostage taking, kidnapping, political killing ,terrorizing, high jacking, sabotage , shooting at the people, social, cultural, political or scientific institutions are ways and methods used by terrorists to achieve their ends. The main objective of terrorists is to create an atmosphere of fear and intimidation or forcing governments, people or particular groups to change their present stand and behavior. Hence, the main objective of this paper is to present an in-depth analytical review of this phenomenon called terrorism.
