Various Approaches to the Transcendent Philosophy in Today’s World

‌پرسش از نسبت انديشه‌هاي فلسفي به زمانه همواره پرسشي اساسي است. حكمت متعاليه ملاصدرا با مجموعه شارحان بزرگ آن از قرن يازدهم هجري تا دوره معاصر بزرگترين سنت فلسفي در فرهنگ ايراني است. تداوم چنين نقشي ما را با پرسشهاي جدي در باب شان اين سنت در عالم معاصر روبرو ميكند. مهمترين پرسش نحوه رجوع ما به اين ميراث فكري و انتظاري است كه از رجوع به آن داريم. در اين مقاله سعي ميشود ابتدا سه رويكرد متفاوت به حكمت متعاليه توصيف شود و سپس با موضعي كه نويسنده در باب نسبت انديشه فلسفي با زمان دارد، هر يك از سه رويكرد تحليل و نقد شود. مقصود اصلي نگارنده دعوت به گفتگو در باب چيستي و چگونگي كوششي است كه اكنون با مبنا قرار گرفتن حكمت متعاليه و يا حداقل با اين تصور كه اين سنت قابليت مراجعه براي انديشيدن دارد، صورت ميگيرد.

The question about the relationship between philosophical thought and historical time has always been a basic one. Mulla Sadra’s Transcendent Philosophy, along with the collection of the works of its prominent commentators, have given rise to the greatest philosophical tradition in Iranian culture from the 11th century (AH) until the present time. The continuity of this trend persuades us to ask some serious questions concerning the status of this school in today’s world. The most important question in this regard pertains to the way we approach this philosophical legacy and our expectations in this regard. In the present paper, the writer has initially tried to describe three different approaches to the Transcendent Philosophy. Then, based on his position as to the relationship between philosophical thought and historical time, he has tried to analyze and criticize them. The writer’s main purpose here is to invite interested readers to a dialog on the above question. His assumption is that the Transcendent Philosophy is the basis of philosophical thought or is, at least, worth being used as a reference for philosophical inquiries.
