انعكاس جنگ در رسانه‌ها: رويكرد پسامدرن بودريار به تحليل رسانه‌ها

• The Reflection of War in the Media: Jean Baudrillard’s Postmodern Approach to Media Analysis

ژان بودريار يكي از برجسته‌ترين نظريه‌پردازان مطالعات رسانه‌ها و پسامدرنيسم است كه مي‌توان گفت در ايران كم‌تر از هر نظريه‌پرداز ديگري در اين حوزه شناخته شده است. نظريات بديع و انتقادهاي تند بودريار از ساختار فرهنگي جوامع پساصنعتي، او را به يكي از رُك‌گوترين منتقدان پسامدرنيته تبديل كرده است. شاه‌واژه‌ي انديشه‌ي بودريار، «واقعيت» است كه شايد ديرينه‌ترين مفهوم در فلسفه‌ي غرب باشد. تبيين جديدي كه بودريار از پيچيدگي‌هاي واقعيت در زمانه‌ي ما به دست مي‌دهد، هم بسط ماركسيسم و هم تلفيق آن با نوعي نشانه‌شناسي پساساختارگراست. در اين مقاله، چهارچوب فكري بودريار (پساساختارگرايي) تبيين خواهد شد و سپس شرحي از نظريه‌هايي كه او در اين چهارچوب راجع به كاركرد رسانه‌ها در جامعه‌ي معاصر پرورانده است به دست داده مي‌شود. در بخش بعدي مقاله، تحليل بودريار از نحوه‌ي انعكاس اخبار مربوط به جنگ آمريكا و عراق كه منجر به سقوط صدام حسين شد، بررسي مي‌شود و سپس كاركرد گزارش‌هاي تلويزيوني از جنگ آمريكا و ويتنام ارزيابي مي‌گردد

Jean Baudrillard is one of the most prominent theorists of media studies and postmodernism who is perhaps the least known theorist of this field in Iran. His influential theories and harsh criticisms of the cultural structure of post-industrial societies have turned him into one of postmodernity’s most outspoken critics. The keyword in his ideas is “reality”, which is perhaps the oldest concept in Western philosophy. His ingenious exploration of the complexities of reality in our time is both an expansion of Marxism and its integration with a kind of poststructuralist semiotics. The present essay expounds Baudrillard’s thought, placing it within the theoretical framework of structuralism. It then moves on to give an account of the theories that Baudrillard has developed in this framework about the function of the media in contemporary society. The next section of the essay examines Baudrillard’s analysis of the way the news about the war between the USA and Saddam Hossein’s Iraq was reflected in the mass media. The final section of the essay explores the television reports of the Vietnam War.
