دوسوتواني همزمان، الگوي مناسب سازماند‌هي فعاليت‌هاي اكتشاف و بهره‌برداري در سازمان‌هاي پژوهش و فناوري

Simultaneous Ambidexterity, an appropriate model for organizing exploration and exploitation activities in Research and Technology Organizations

دانش به‌عنوان منبع مزيت رقابتي داراي اهميت راهبردي در كسب‌وكارهاي خدماتي دانش بنيان است و در يك محيط رقابتي، عملكرد برتر فقط از طريق نوآوري مستمر مي‌تواند پايدار گردد. نوآوري مستمر نيازمند يادگيري بوده و مهم‌ترين عنصر مربوط به يادگيري سازماني موضوع «اكتشاف» و «بهره‌برداري» است. براين اساس سازمان‌هاي كارآفرين بايد به‌صورت متوازن در رابطه با اكتشاف و بهره‌برداري اقدام نمايند و داشتن توازن مناسب در توانمندي‌هاي اكتشاف و بهره‌برداري از فرصت‌ها، ضرورت اصلي در فضاي كسب‌وكار متغير با تغييرات سريع فناورانه است. بر اين اساس در اين مقاله مباني نظري سازماندهي فعاليت‌هاي اكتشاف و بهره‌برداري در درون سازمان‌هاي كارآفرين مورد بحث قرار مي‌گيرد. سپس به ساختارهاي مختلف مورد استفاده در سازمان‌هاي پژوهش و فناوري در خصوص سازماندهي فعاليت‌هاي اكتشاف و بهره‌برداري پرداخته و دلايل مطلوبيت مفهوم «دوسوتواني همزمان» به‌عنوان راه‌حل سازماني برتر در سازمان‌هاي پژوهش و فناوري تشريح مي‌شود. پس از آن وظايف هر يك از بخش‌هاي اكتشاف و بهره‌برداري در سازمان‌هاي پژوهش و فناوري تبيين شده و چگونگي ايجاد توازن در اين فعاليت‌ها و هماهنگ نمودن آنها تشريح مي‌شود. در پايان نيز به جمع‌بندي مطالب پرداخته مي‌شود.

Knowledge as a source of competitive advantage has a strategic importance in knowledge intensive business services. Superior performance in a competitive environment can only be sustained through continuous innovation. Continuous innovation requires learning and an important element of organizational learning is "exploration" and "exploitation". Therefore, entrepreneurial organizations must have balance in exploration and exploitation activities. The main requirement for variable business environment with the rapid technological changes is a good balance of exploration capabilities and exploitation of opportunities. This paper discusses theoretical foundation of organizing exploration and exploitation activities within entrepreneurial organizations. Then, the different structures which are used for the organizing exploration and exploitation activities in Research and Technology Organizations (RTOs) have been reviewed and the preference causes for the concept of "ambidextrous organization” or “simultaneous ambidexterity" as a superior organizational solution in RTOs are described. Next, duties of each of the exploration and exploitation sections in RTOs are explained and the way of creating balance and coordinating these activities are described. Also, the results are summed up at the end.
