The Relationship between Workplace Spirituality and Employees’ Empowerment

هدف اساسي انجام اين پژوهش، مطالعه اي پيمايشي در خصوص رابطه معنويت در كار و توانمندسازي كاركنان است. بدين منظور پرسشنامه استانداردي با آلفاي كرونباخ 87/0 براي معنويت در كار و آلفاي كرونباخ 82/0 براي توانمندسازي كاركنان ميان 251 نفر از كاركنان ستاد مركزي شركت ملي پخش و پالايش فراورده هاي نفتي ايران در تهران توزيع گرديد. تجزيه و تحليل داده هاي گردآوري شده در قالب آزمون آماري همبستگي پيرسون نشان داد كه همبستگي معنادار و مثبت (با ضريب همبستگي 739/0) ميان معنويت در كار و توانمندسازي كاركنان وجود دارد.

This study attempts to investigate the relationship between workplace spirituality and employees’ empowerment since an important question in the field of workplace spirituality concerns with the relationship between this structure and employee empowerment. The present study assesses the validity and reliability of the used measures, and discusses the results of the analysis which indicates that each of the three dimensions of spirituality has a significant relationship with empowerment of employees examined. While acknowledging that spirituality at work is an abstract concept, this study attempts to provide some empirical support for the positive association between workplace spirituality and employees’ empowerment. The paper concludes a number of implications and research directions for both academics and business managers, including the need to investigate the comprehensive impact of spirituality at work on individuals and organizations.
