كتاب التوسل الي الترسل مجموعه منشآت بها الدين محمد بن مويد بغدادي است. محتواي اصلي اين كتاب، سلطانيات و اخوانيات و مشتمل بر توصيه‌هاي حكمي و اخلاقي است و از آنجا كه مخاطب اصلي آن حكام و كارگزاران است، بخش سياست مدن از حكمت عملي در آن برجسته‌تر است. طرح و تبيين مضامين اخلاقي در سطح وسيع و همه جانبه، اين كتاب را در رده اندرزنامه‌هاي سياسي قرار مي‌دهد. اين نوع اندرزنامه ها در نظام اخلاقي سياسي- حكومتي قابل طرح و بررسي هستند. محور اصلي مباحث حكمي و اخلاقي كتاب، عدالت و انصاف است و از ديگر خصايص و ويژگي‌هاي اخلاقي حاكمان كه مورد توجه و تاكيد قرار گرفته است مي توان به دوري از ظلم و ستم، رعيت‌پروري و شفقت بر زيردستان، احسان و نيكوكاري، تقوي و پرهيزكاري، اكتساب علم و دانش و تعقل و تفكر در امور اشاره كرد. نويسنده در بيان مضامين اخلاقي از امكاناتي كه نثر فني در اختيار او قرار مي‌دهد به گونه‌اي مناسب بهره مي‌گيرد. در اين كتاب از آيات قرآن و احاديث براي تاكيد و تحكيم كلام استفاده شده كه موجب نزديكي محتواي كتاب به حيطه اخلاق روايي گرديده است.

The book of Altavassol elal Tarassol is a collection of letters by Bahaoddin Mohammad Ibne Moayyad Baqdadi . The main content of this book is Soltaniat (rulers) and Exvaniat (brotherhoods). It includes philosophical and moral pieces of advices. Since the book addresses rulers and employers, the civil politics part of the book is more prominent than practical philosophy. Explaining and clarifying moral themes in the book, to a large extent, places the book among political advice books. These types of political advice books can be examines within the framework of moral governmental political system. The main pivot of philosophical and moral discussions is equity and justice. Other moral features and characteristics of rulers that have been addressed in the book include stopping tyranny and cruelty, kindness to peasant, kindness to subordinates, graciousness, beneficence, charity, contingency, piety and virtue, gaining knowledge and science. For expressing moral themes, the writer has employed all the possibilities of technical prose in an appropriate way. Using Qurans verses and Hadiths makes the book to be similar to moral narration.
