واژه‌‌هاي دارويي و درون‌‌مايه‌‌ها‌‌ي پزشكي در آثار عطار

عطار نیشابوری از شخصیت‌‌های معروف شعر، عرفان و تصوّف در قرن ششم و آغار قرن هفتم هجری است كه با توجه به مستندات تاریخی، ادبی و پژوهشی به داروفروشی، داروسازی و طبابت هم اشتغال و اشتهار داشته است. طبابت در روزگاران پیشین بیش‌تر بر دو پایۀ گیاه‌‌درمانی و روان‌‌درمانی استوار بود، كه نشانه‌‌های هر دو مورد در آثار عطار آشكار است. بنابه آثار موجود و نوشته‌‌های عطار‌‌شناسان، پدر عطار نیز به شغل عطاری مشغول بود و عطار این شغل را از پدر به‌ارث برده است. با توجه به وجود مفردات و گزاره‌‌های پزشكی در آثار منظوم و منثور وی، می‌‌توان استنباط كرد كه این شاعر به دارو‌‌فروشی و پزشكی به سبك روزگار خویش اشتغال داشت. در این مقاله سعی شده است با توجه به مفردات گیاهی، گزاره‌‌های پزشكی و گیاهان دارویی به‌كار رفته در آثار مكتوب و مسلّم عطار، جایگاه عطاری و طبابت او بررسی و نشان داده شود كه عطار به چه میزان و برای چه مقاصدی از مضامین، تركیبات و اصطلاحات طبی و مفردات گیاهی سود جسته و تأثیر شغل عطاری در بیان این موضوعات چه‌قدر بوده است.

Attar Neishabouri is one of the characters prominent in poetry, sufim and Gnosticism in the sixth and the beginning of seventh century A.H. According to literary and historical documents, in addition to poetry and Gnosticism, he was famous for making and selling drugs and practising medicine. Undoubtedly, medicine was in the past based on herb therapy and psychotherapy, traces of both of which are obvious and deductible in Attar’s works. According to existing works and writings of the researchers who know Attar, his medical profession was inherited in the poet’s family. Anyway, due to Farid-al-Din Mohammadʹs fame as ‘Attar’ and existence of medical references and statements in his poetry and prose, one can infer that this poet was famous for selling drugs and practising medicine in the style of his time. In this paper, we intend to survey the status of Attar’s drug-selling and medical practice by referring to the medical plants, statements and herbal substances he uses in his written works, and to show how much and for which purposes he utilizes medical terms and expressions and herbal substances, and to find to what extent his occupation as a grocer influenced his mention of these subject matters.
