بررسي ميزان دستيابي به اهداف آموزشي گروه‌هاي آموزشي پريودنتيكس و سلامت دهان از ديدگاه دانشجويان دندانپزشكي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي تهران بر اساس الگوي ارزشيابي سيپ

Evaluation of the achievement of educational objectives of the Community Oral Health and Periodontics Departments using the CIPP model of evaluation–students\ʹ perspective

زمينه و هدف: ارزشيابی يك فرآيند مستمر می‌باشد كه به منظور ارتقاﺀ يادگيری دانشجويان و برنامه ريزی تغييرات لازم برای دستيابی به اهداف آموزشی ضروری می‌باشد. هدف مطالعه حاضر بررسی ميزان دستيابی به اهداف آموزشی دو گروه آموزشی سلامت دهان و پريودنتيكس بود. روش بررسی: اين مطالعه از نوع توصيفی- مقطعی با استفاده از پرسشنامه بر اساس الگوی ارزشيابی سيپ (CIPP) انجام شد و در چهار حيطه (محتوا، درون داد، فرآيند و برون داد) در مورد دو گروه آموزشی سلامت دهان و پريودنتيكس در دانشجويان دو سال آخر در دانشكده دندانپزشكی علوم پزشكی تهران صورت گرفت. مقايسه دو گروه آموزشی با آزمون غير پارامتريك من ويتنی با استفاده از نرم‌افزارSPSS انجام شد.يافته‌ها: ميزان درصد پاسخ دهی دانشجويان سال ششم، 7/67% و دانشجويان سال پنجم، 5/87 % بود. در حيطه محتوا دانشجويان از درس پريودنتولوژی نسبت به درس سلامت دهان و دندانپزشكی اجتماعی رضايت بيشتری ابراز نمودند. در حيطه درون داد دانشجويان انگيزه و مهارت مدرسين واحد پريودنتولوژی را كافی ندانستند. در حيطه فرآيند در مجموع 67% دانشجويان در رابطه با تدريس مدرسين گروه پريودنتيكس كاملاً يا تاحدودی دچار مشكل شده بودند. از نظر حيطه محتوا 018/0P= و فرآيند 04/0P= بين دو گروه آموزشی تفاوت آماری معنی دار مشاهده شد. در حيطه برون داد دانشجويان توانايی تئوری و عملی مرتبط با آموزش گروه پريودنتولوژی را در مورد عناوينی مانند اسپلينت، ايمپلنت، كنترل ژنژيويت حاد و الكتروسرجری "ضعيف" و در مورد سايرعناوين، "خوب" ارزيابی كردند. در درس سلامت دهان اغلب دانشجويان آگاهی خود در زمينه سرفصل "دندانپزشكی مبتنی بر شواهد" و توانايی عملی كاربرد آن جهت پاسخگويی به مسائل كلينيكی را در حد "متوسط" ارزيابی نمودند. نتيجه‌گيری: ارزيابی ميزان دستيابی به اهداف آموزشی دو گروه سلامت دهان و پريودنتولوژی با استفاده از الگوی سيپ نشان داد كه در دو حيطه محتوا و فرآيند بين دو گروه آموزشی تفاوت آماری معنی داری وجود دارد. بازنگری عناوين فرعی در حيطه‌های مذكور كه ميزان دستيابی به آنها ضعيف بوده است در ارتقا برنامه آموزشی توصيه می‌شود.

Background and Aims: Evaluation is a continuous process which is necessary for improvement of students learning and planning for required changes to obtain the educational objectives. The aim of the present study was to assess studentsʹ perspective on the achievement of the educational objectives of the Community Oral Health and Periodontology Departments using the CIPP model of evaluation.Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional survey has been conducted using a questionnaire consists of four domains as introduced in the CIPP model of evaluation (Context, Input, Process and Product). Two groups of senior dental students of the dental school of Tehran University of Medical Sciences were approached. Data was collected anonymously and was analyzed with non-parametric Mann-Whitney test using the SPSS statistical package.Results: The response rate was 67.7% for year 6 and 87.5% for the year 5 students. Respondents considered material presented in Periodontology Department more relevant and in need for their future career. However, teaching skills and motivation of the educators in Periodontology Department was considered inadequate. 67% of students reported having problem with material taught in Periodontology Department. Overall, significant difference in domains of Context and Process was observed between two departments (p<0.05). In the output domain students rated their clinical and theoretical ability "weak" in relation to splint, implant, management of acute gingivitis and electrosurgery compared with other topics which rated "good". Students considered their ability in using the principals of Evidence-Based Dentistry moderate.Conclusion: The evaluation of the educational achievements of the two departments (COH and Periodontics) using CIPP model of evaluation showed that there is significant difference in two domains (Context and Process). In those topics which achievement was reported weak the revision of teaching methods is recommended.Key Words: Education dental; Program evaluation; Self-evaluation
