The Attitude of Midwifery Students about Their Field of Study

مقدمه: نگرش هاي فرد در دوران مختلف زندگي هماهنگ با محيط اطراف دستخوش تغيير مي شود. يكي از مراحل زندگي كه بيشترين تغيير نگرش ها در آن روي مي دهد، دوران دانشجويي است. تاثير عوامل مختلف در اين دوران، مي تواند باعث نگرش مثبت يا منفي دانشجويان نسبت به رشته تحصيلي خود شده كه منجر به پيشرفت يا انصراف افراد از آن رشته تحصيلي مي شود. اين مطالعه با هدف بررسي نگرش دانشجويان مامايي نسبت به رشته تحصيلي خود انجام شد. روش ها: اين مطالعه توصيفي- تحليلي بصورت مقطعي بر روي كليه دانشجويان مامايي مشغول به تحصيل در مقطع كارشناسي دانشگاه آزاد اسلامي رشت، نيمسال اول سال 91-1390 انجام شد. روش گردآوري داده ها پرسشنامه محقق ساخته در دو بخش مشخصات فردي و سوالات سنجش نگرش نسبت به رشته تحصيلي شان بود. روايي پرسشنامه از طريق روايي محتوايي و پايايي آن از طريق آلفاي كرونباخ (71/0= ?)، مورد تاييد قرار گرفت. داده ها با نرم افزار SPSS و با استفاده از آمار توصيفي و تحليلي مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفت. يافته ها: ميانگين نمره نگرش دانشجويان به رشته تحصيلي 18/3 ± 42/16 بود كه نمره بدست آمده بالاتر از نمره قابل قبول بود. بين نمره نگرش نسبت به رشته تحصيلي و سن دانشجويان (001/0=p) و تحصيلات مادر (016/0= p) ارتباط آماري معني دار وجود داشت. ولي با ساير متغيرهاي پژوهش ارتباط آماري معني داري وجود نداشت (05/0 p > ). نتيجه گيري: با توجه به نتايج پژوهش، اكثريت دانشجويان نسبت به رشته تحصيلي خود، نگرش مثبت داشتند. شناخت نگرش دانشجويان مامايي از جمله ضرورت هايي است كه مي تواند در تدوين مقررات، امكانات مناسب، برنامه ريزي موفق براي تربيت نيروهاي بهداشتي توانمند و ايجاد محيطي پرشور در دانشگاه موثر باشد.

Introduction: The attitude of a person will change coordinated to environment. The time of studying is one of the periods of life that most of the attitude changes will happen in it. The effect of different factors in this period can cause positive or negative attitudes of students about their studying fields that will cause progress or canceling from that studying feild. This study was performed to determine midwifery studentʹs attitude about their field of their study. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on all midwifery students who are studying at Islamic Azad university of Rasht in the first semester of academic year 2012-2013. The information was gathered through questionnaire which has two parts, personal information and the questions about field of study attitudes. To determine validity and reliability of the questionnaire, content validity and Cronbachʹs alpha (?=0.71) were used, respectively .The data was analyzed by SPSS 16 software using descriptive and analytical statistics. Results: The mean score of studentsʹ attitude toward their field of study was 16.42 ± 3.18 which obtained score was higher than the acceptable score. There were significant relationship between score of attitude and age of students (p=0.001) and education of mother (p=0.016), but there were no significant relationship between score of attitude and another research variable (p > 0.05). Conclusion: According to the result of study, the majority of students have a positive attitude about their field. Itʹs important to know the midwifery studentsʹ attitudes because it can effect on the setting of the rules and disciplines, the facilities, planning a successful program to train capable health forces, and also making an exciting environment at the university.
