The Relationship between Intellectuality andSevanthoodfrom the Viewpoint of AllamehTabatabaee

عبوديّت گوهر اساسي دين است و همه معارف و احكام ديني براي تحقّق عبوديت خداي سبحان است و غايت خلقت نيز چيزي جز عبوديت نيست . از طرف ديگر قوام وجود آدمي به عقل اوست و مخاطب خداوند و عامل اجراي اوامر و نواهي عقل است ، بنابراين تحقّق عبوديت جز با واسطه عقل امكان ندارد . اما همانگونه كه علم و ادراك در عالم هستي داراي درجات و مراتب است عبادت نيز داراي درجات و مراتب است . عبوديت تكويني يا عبادت بالاضطرار همه عالم موجودات را شامل مي شود و عبادت بالاختيار مختص موجودات خودآگاه است و مراتب ادراك با مراتب عبوديت تلازم دارد . و همانگونه كه مرتبه اي ازعبوديت فعليت دارد و بايد مراتب ديگري از آن را به فعليت رساند مرتبه اي از عقلانيت نيز در آدمي بالفعل است و بايد مراتب كاملتر آن را كسب كرد.

Servanthoodis the basic essence of religion and allthe religious teachings and rulingsare to fulfill Servanthoodto God, the Glorified and the ultimate goal of creation is nothing but Servanthood. On the other hand, the persistence of man’s existence depends upon his intellectuality and the addressee of God and the acting agent of His commandments and prohibitions are the intellect. Hence, the fulfillment of Servanthoodis only possible through the contribution of the intellect. Nevertheless,similar to knowledge and perception in the universe,Servanthoodis of various stages and grades. Developmental sevanthoodor compulsory worship is for all creatures but voluntary worshipis unique for self-consciouscreatures and the stages of servanthoodand perception are interdependent.As the fulfillment of one stage of servanthood leads to the materialization of its other stages, one grade of intellectuality has already been given to man and its higher grades should be earned.
