Comparative Study of Ḥadīth al-Raf‘ in the Sources of the Two Major Sects

حديث رفع كه در مباحث فراوان فقه و اصول، به آن استناد مي‌شود، بر اساس نقل شيعه، از متني روشن‌تر و سندي استوارتر برخوردار است، به ‌گونه‌اي كه مي‌توان به صدور آن از معصوم? اطمينان يافت، و اين امر، تاييد كننده ديدگاه آن دسته از عالمان سنّي است كه اين حديث را معتبر دانسته و بدان استناد نموده‌اند. هيچ يك از عالمان شيعه، در اعتبار اين حديث خدشه ننموده‌اند، ولي شماري از عالمان سنّي به مخالفت با آن برخاسته و حتّي گاه آن را جعلي دانسته‌اند. متعلَّق اين حديث، بنابر نقل مشترك فريقين، خطا، نسيان و اكراه است و روايات اهل سنّت، از اين سه مورد فراتر نرفته‌اند و حال آنكه متعلّق آن بر اساس نقل شيعه، نُه امر است.

Comparative Study of ?ad?th al-Raf‘ in the Sources of the Two Major Sects Dr. Ali Akbar Kalantari Frequently referred to in discourses on Islamic jurisprudence and disciplines, ?ad?th al-raf‘(according to which the responsibility for nine things is lifted from humans due to error and the lack of knowledge), enjoys a clearer text and a stronger chain of transmission, so that its issuance by an Infallible Imam (A.S.) can be ascertained and this confirms the position of those among the Sunn? scholars who have regarded this ?ad?th as valid and relied upon it. None of the Sh?‘? scholars have questioned the validity of this ?ad?th; however, some Sunn? scholars have opposed to it and even regarded it as fabricated. The object (muta‘allaq) of this ?ad?th, as related by both major sects, is flaw, oblivion, and reluctance and the Sunn? traditions have not gone beyond these three instances; whereas, according to the Sh?‘? sources, its object amounts to nine.
