Reliability of the member stability criteria in the 2008 Iranian Specification For Structural Steel

عليرغم آنچه اغلب تصور مي شود، پارامترهاي مربوط به بار و مقاومت در طراحي اعضاي سازه اي كميت هاي قطعي نيستند و متغيرهاي تصادفي هستند، بنابراين طراحي سازه اي كاملاً ايمن غير ممكن است و استفاده از رويكرد احتمالاتي براي محاسبه قابليت اعتماد اعضاي سازه اي در طراحي امري اجتناب ناپذير است. با توجه به ارايه روش بار و مقاومت در ويرايش جديد آيين نامه فولاد ايران و همچنين با توجه به عدم وجود تحقيقات گسترده و جامع در ارتباط با پارامترهاي آماري مربوط به آيين نامه فولاد ايران در اين مقاله سعي گرديده با جمع آوري اطلاعات موجود در آزمايشگاههاي كارخانه-هاي فولاد كشور و نتايج بدست آمده از ساير كشورها مدلي آماري براي مقاومت فولاد مصرفي در ايران ارايه گردد. سپس آناليز قابليت اعتماد براي اعضاي طراحي شده به روش LRFD بر مبناي آيين نامه فولاد ايران براي حالت هاي حدي خمش، برش و فشار محوري انجام شده و شاخص قابليت اعتماد براي تمامي نسبت هاي بار مرده به زنده، محاسبه گرديده است.

This paper provides an overview of reliability of the member stability criteria in the 2008 Iranian Structural Steel Specification. Steel building structures in the Iran have been designed from many years ago, but this is the first time that the LRFD methods have been developed and presented in this code. Development of LRFD design methodology involves consideration of safety factors to account uncertainty in loading, geometrical properties, modeling, analysis, material characteristics, etc. Management and control of risk due to uncertainties through proper design is a major engineering goal. The design codes and standards address uncertainties through safety factors that may be defined either implicitly such as those used for the allowable strength design (ASD) format or explicitly such as those used for the Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) format. The purpose of this paper is to review the national reliability indices of the Iranian specification, using new information about material properties, and new evaluation of the relevant experiments. The paper will examine the reliability of beam, girders and column in some different load combination.
