Clinical Assistants, Hospital Teachers The Necessity of Training and Empowering Teaching-Learning Skills

مقدمه: همانطور كه مشخص است اهميت نقش دستياران در آموزش باليني دانشجويان هميشه مورد تاكيد بوده و به‌‌دنبال آن برنامه دستيار در نقش معلم براي بهبود مهارت‌هاي تدريس دستياران درنظر گرفته شده است. دانشگاه علوم‌‌پزشكي شيراز از سال 1387 اقدام به برگزاري دوره يكماهه آموزشي «دستيار به‌عنوان الگو، معلم و پژوهشگر» نمود. تحقيق حاضر به‌بررسي تاثير اين دوره در افزايش توانمندي آموزشي دستياران شركت‌كننده مي‌پردازد. مواد و روش‌ها: اين مطالعه به‌روش پيمايشي، از نوع توصيفي- مقطعي در جامعه آماري دستياران تخصصي و فوق‌تخصصي و فلوشيپ ورودي 92دانشگاه علوم‌‌پزشكي شيراز انجام شد. جهت تعيين نمونه‌ها از روش سرشماري استفاده گرديد. ابزار تحقيق، پرسشنامه محقق‌ساخته شامل 25 سوال بود كه روايي آن با نظر متخصصين آموزش پزشكي انجام شد و پايايي آن در تحقيقات پيشين 89% تاييد شده بود و پس از اجراي مجدد آن در اين تحقيق با آلفاي كرونباخ 92 تعيين گرديد. داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزارSPSS نسخه 15و آزمون‌هاي استنباطي تي گروه هاي مستقل، تي‌زوجي و آناليزواريانس تحليل شد. نتايج: قبل از اجراي دوره، ميزان آگاهي دستياران از همه موضوعات مربوطه به‌جز 2 مورد (گزارش صبحگاهي و اصول پايه و پيشرفته CPCR) ازحد انتظار پايين‌تر بود. در همه موارد پس از اجراي دوره ميزان آگاهي دستياران بيشتر از ميانگين حدانتظار بوده است. نتيجه‌گيري: نتايج حاصل نشان داد برگزاري دوره دستيار بعنوان معلم تاثيري مثبت برميزان آگاهي شركت‌كنندگان داشته و دانش آنها را در اصول آموزشي و معلمي، روش‌هاي تدريس و آموزش‌هاي عمومي و بالندگي فردي افزايش داده است. از اين‌رو ادامه برگزاري دوره در سال‌هاي آتي توصيه مي‌شود

Introduction: Many studies have emphasized the importance of clinical teaching assistants, followed by the role of the teacher assistant program «Resident as Teacher», as a method to improve residents’ teaching skills. Research has shown that such programs not only improve the attitude and perception of training assistants toward clinical teaching but also have a positive effect on their knowledge, skills, and behavior. Shiraz University of Medical Sciences held a one-month training course entitled "assistant as a role model, teacher and researcher" in 1387 in order to prepare residents for their role as clinical teachers. The present study investigated the effect of this course on increasing teaching skills among the assistants who participated in the study. Materials & Methods: This study was a cross-sectional one. The study population included specialized and sub-specialized assistants and fellowship students of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 2013. Samples were taken by census. Data collection was done using a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity and reliability were confirmed. Data analysis was done using SPSS software, version 15. Inferential independent t-test, paired t-test, and ANOVA statistical analysis. Results: Before holding the course, residentsʹ awareness about all issues except 2 (morning reports, and basic and advanced principles of CPCR) was lower than expected. After the course residents’ knowledge was more than the expected average in all the items. The difference between the mean scores of morning reports, clinical education, basic and advanced principles of CPCR, before and after the course, was higher than other items. Conclusion: Holding the ‘assistant as a role model, teacher and researcher’ course, has had a positive impact on the participantsʹ awareness and their knowledge about principles of learning and teaching, teaching methods as well as general training and personal development. It also recommended more courses in future years.
