The Virtual Hospital: A New Approach to Education and Treatment

زمينه و هدف: حيطه ي جديد مراقبت هاي بهداشتي، عرصه ي همكاري گروه پزشكي، بيمارستان ها، مراكز پزشكي و كارشناسان بيمه ها در يك محيط مجازي است كه در آن محيط به تبادل اطلاعات مي پردازند. اين پيشرفت هاي تكنيكي و اقتصادي- اجتماعي فرصتي را فراهم كرده است كه تعداد زيادي از بيماران به سيستم هاي اطلاعاتي مبتني بر اينترنت دسترسي داشته باشند. اين مطالعه با هدف بررسي ابعاد مختلف بيمارستان مجازي انجام شده است. روش بررسي: اين مقاله نوعي مطالعه‌ي مروري- نقلي (Narrative Review) است، كه از طريق جستجوي كلمات كليدي شامل بيمارستان مجازي، درمان و آموزش در پايگاه‌ها و بانك‌هاي اطلاعاتي Pub Med، ISI Web of Science، Scopus، EMBASE، Medline، Elsevier و كتابخانه‌ي ملي ديجيتال پزشكي ايران انجام شد. در جستجوي اوليه 84 مقاله مرتبط يافت شد كه پس از بررسي تك به تك مقالات و بر اساس اهداف مطالعه در مجموع 35 مقاله مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. يافته ها: بيمارستان هاي مجازي فرصتي را فراهم مي كند تا كادر درماني و بيماران بتوانند در يك محيط مجازي با يكديگر ارتباط داشته باشند. بيمارستان هاي مجازي كاربردهاي مختلفي از قبيل آموزش دانشجويان گروه علوم پزشكي، رفع نيازهاي مددجويان و بيماران، تخت هاي مجازي، استفاده كاركنان خدمات بهداشتي درماني جهت ارايه ي خدمات، بيمارستان به عنوان كتابخانه مجازي داشته باشد. نتيجه گيري: استفاده از بيمارستان هاي مجازي در آينده نزديك يكي از نيازهاي اصلي جوامع بشري خواهد بود و مسوولين بايد زير ساخت هاي لازم در خصوص ارايه ي اين خدمات را از طريق كامپيوتر هاي شخصي و موبايل و ساير وسايل ارتباطي فراهم نمايند.

Background and Objective: New areas in the field of health care are the cooperation between health professionals, hospitals, medical centers, and insurance experts in a virtual environment in which information is exchanged. The technical and socioeconomically progression provided an opportunity that many patients have access to Internet-based information systems. This study was carried out to investigate the diverse dimensions of the virtual hospital. Materials and Methods: In this narrative review, we searched the databases such as PubMed, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, EMBASE, Medline, Elsevier and INLM using the keywords “Virtual Hospital, treatment and medical education”. We found 84 articles at first and then it was decreased to 35 articles according to the aim of the study. Results: The Virtual Hospital provides an opportunity to enable medical staff and patients communicate with each other in a virtual environment. It has various applications such as educating medical students; meeting clients and patientsʹ needs, visiting virtual wards, using health care workers to provide services, and establishing a virtual library. Conclusion: Using virtual hospitals will be one of the main requirements of human societies at near future. The authorities of our country should provide the structures necessary to provide services through personal computers and mobile phones and other communication media.
