رهنمودهاي اساسي و مرتبط با بهبود كيفيت متدولوژي مقالات علوم پزشكي: مروري نظام مند براي راهنمايي نويسندگان و داوران مقالات

Important statistical points to improve and promote the methodology of the articles on medical: a systematic review article for authors and reviewers

زمينه و هدف: كيفيت متدولوژی مقالات از جمله فاكتورهای مهمی است كه مورد توجه پژوهشگران قرار می گيرد. اين مقاله با هدف تعيين رهنمودهای آماری در زمينه ارتقاء كيفيت متدولوژی مقالات مرتبط با علوم پزشكی به منظور كمك به نويسندگان و داوران مقالات تدوين شد. روش بررسی: اين مطالعه يك بررسی از نوع مرور نظام مند است. ابتدا در پايگاه اطلاعاتی Pub Med، كلمات كليدی "Epidemiologic Methods/analysis"[Mesh] "Epidemiologic Methods/epidemiology" و Statistical Reporting انتخاب گرديد. سپس متون مرتبط از پايگاه های اطلاعاتی معتبر جستجو شد. مرتبط بودن مقالات، داشتن ديدگاه و ارائه رهنمود آماری در مقاله و همچنين موافقت حداقل دو نفر از سه نفر تيم بررسی كننده مقالات از شرايط ورود مقالات به مطالعه بود. يافته ها: دويست مقاله مرتبط يافت گرديد. 32 مقاله شرايط ورود به مطالعه را داشتند. بر اساس مقالات بررسی شده،30 نكته كاربردی در بهبود و ارتقاء كيفيت متدولوژی مقالات نقش تعيين كننده دارند. از جمله نكته های مهم می توان به معرفی و توصيف جامعه هدف و جمعيت آماری و ذكر نام مطالعه، معرفی متغيرهای مستقل، وابسته و متغيرهای مخدوش كننده، گزارش حجم نمونه برای زير گروه ها و كل مطالعه، خلاصه سازی داده ها متناسب با توزيع آماری آن ها، ذكر نام آزمون های آماری مورد استفاده، گزارش نوع ميزان (ميزان بروز، ميزان های بقا)، نسبت (نسبت شانس، نسبت خطر) يا خطر (خطر مطلق، خطر نسبی، اختلاف خطر) با حدود اطمينان 95%، تحليل مشاهده های انسانی بر حسب جنسيت و نرم افزار مورد استفاده اشاره نمود. نتيجه گيری: مهمترين فاكتورهايی كه در كيفيت متدولوژی مقالات، نقش تعيين كننده دارند، در اين مطالعه گزارش گرديد. به كارگيری اين فاكتورها توسط نويسندگان و داوران مقالات می تواند منجر به بهبود كيفيت مجلات گردد. همچنين كاربست نكته ها و رهنمون های اين مطالعه در روش كار طرح ها، می تواند از خطاهای پژوهش اجتناب نمايد.

Background and aims: Methodological quality of scientific, research articles is accounted as one of the most important subjects for researchers. This study aimed to offer statistical points to improve and promote the methodology of the articles on medical sciences to help authors and reviewers. Methods: This study is a systematic review. At first, in Pub Med database, keys terms of statistical reports, research methodology and results reporting were selected. Then, texts relevant to medical sciences were sought in authentic databases. Inclusion criteria to the study were the relationship among articles, the statement of statistically key points, having useful guidelines, and agreement of two of three investigators in team. Results: More than 200 articles were retrieved. After examination, 32 articles had the inclusion criteria and were relevant. 30 important points had indicator role for improvement and promotion of methodological quality in articles on medical sciences. These points are: identification and description of population, sampling, study design, independent, dependent, and controlling variables, samples for subgroups and for whole study, summarizing data adjusted to their statistical distribution, stating statistical tests, reporting (prevalence and survival rate), distribution (probability, risk rate), risk (absolutely, relative risk, risk differences with confidence of 0.95%), analyzing observations in terms of sex and used software. Conclusion: The most important factors that they had a main role in Methodological quality of scientific, research articles were reported. Use of introduced key points and checklists in articles’ materials and methods section could improve and promote the quality of articles in medical sciences fields and prevents research errors.
