جامعه خطر پيش نهادهاي زيادي در زمينه انتقاد از نهادهاي اجتماعي مانند سيستم عدالت كيفري دارد، اما آن (جامعه خطر) به وسيله موانع سياسي و ادراكي محدو شده است. جرم شناسي سنجشي بخشي از اين مكتب فكري است و شامل متخصصين و سيستم‌هايي مي‌شود كه به اجراي قانون كمك مي‌كنند. نظريه‌هاي ريسك خودشان را در لابه لاي نظريه‌هاي ليبرال و محافظه جرم كارانه درگير نمي كنند. گفتمان ريسك بايستي به عنوان مشروعيت رويه‌هاي عدالت كيفري حكومت نگريسته شود تا از يك وضعيت غيرقابل دفاع به يك شاهد بي طرف تبديل شود.

Risk theories donʹt allow themselves to be trapped amid the net of liberal and conservative theories of crime. Risk discourse must be considered as the legitimacy of the trends of penal justice so that it can change from an un-defendable situation in to a neutral witness. ?
