نسبت فقه و اخلاق، نه‌تنها از ديرباز محل تامل عالمان ديني بوده و ذهن آنان را مشغول ساخته است، بلكه در شرايط امروز، به‌دليل تحولات اجتماعي و فرهنگي گسترده در زندگي بشر و تغييرات رخ‌داده در سبك زندگي، نياز حس‌شده به توسعه فقه و نياز به پاسداشت از جايگاه اخلاق در حيات اجتماعي، بازنگري در اين مسيله ضرورتي افزون يافته است. در ميان ايمه اطهار(ع) چنين مي نمايد كه امام رضا(ع) ـ به‌سبب شرايط اجتماعي و فرهنگي موجود در عصر آن حضرت ـ توجهي خاص به فقه و اخلاق مبذول داشته و در سطح گسترده‌اي به جوانب مختلف اين مسيله پرداخته شده است. در اين راستا مي‌توان دريافت كه نگرش طيفي به الزام‌هاي ديني، توجه به علل‌الشرايع و خاستگاه‌هاي اخلاقي و انساني احكام و تكيه بر تاديب در رفتار ديني و برخي ديگر از شيوه‌هاي مواجهه خاص با مسايل شريعت كه در احاديث آن حضرت ديده مي‌شود، مبناي استواري براي پيوستگي فقه و اخلاق در آموزه‌هاي امام رضا(ع) را فراهم آورده است كه درك دقايق آن، مي‌تواند الگويي كارآمد براي بازنگري‌هاي ما در مسايل خود، در عصر حاضر باشد.

The relation between jurisprudence and ethics has long been a subject for contemplation for religious scholars. Also, in today’s circumstances, due to broad social and cultural changes that have taken place in the life of the mankind as well as in his lifestyle, the need to expand jurisprudence and to honor the position of ethics in social life is inevitably felt. Among the Imams (Peace Be upon Them), it seems that due to the social and cultural conditions that existed during his time, Imam Reza paid particular attention to jurisprudence and ethics and addressed their different aspects deeply. In this regard, it can be concluded that spectral attitude towards religious necessities, attention to religious causes and the ethical and human origins of religious rulings as well as emphasis on religious discipline along with other forms of addressing Sharia issues which are obvious in Imam Reza’s Hadiths are solid bases for the alliance of jurisprudence and ethics in his teachings and a thorough understanding of them can provide an efficient pattern for us to review our issues in the current world.
