Evaluation of Factors Affecting Students’ Acceptance of Mobile Learning Use

سابقه و هدف: در سالهاي اخير استفاده از فناوري هاي همراه در تعدادي از زمينه ها افزايش يافت. با توجه به پيشرفت روزافزون فناوري اطلاهات و ارتباطات و فراگير شدن استفاده از ابزار هاي سيار در آموزش، هدف از اين مطالعه بررسي عوامل تاثير گذار بر مقبوليت استفاده از يادگيري سيار مي باشد. مواد و روشها: اين مطالعه مقطعي بر روي دانشجويان پزشكي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي بابل در سال تحصيلي 93-1392 انجام شد. اطلاعات مربوط به مقبوليت يادگيري سيار، سن، جنس، دستگاه مورد استفاده، زمان و مكان استفاده بوسيله پرسشنامه محقق ساخته جمع آوري و مورد بررسي قرار گرفت. يافته‌ها: در بررسي متغير هاي سن، جنس و زمان استفاده از لحاظ ميزان يادگيري سيار در بين دانشجويان دانشگاه علوم پزشكي بابل هيچ تفاوت معني داري مشاهده نشد. اما بين نوع وسيله سيار و مكان استفاده از وسيله سيار از لحاظ ميزان يادگيري سيار تفاوت معني داري مشاهده شد. نتيجه گيري: نتايج مطالعه نشان داد كه مكان و نوع وسيله بر مقبوليت يادگيري سيار موثر است.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Recently, the use of mobile technology has significantly increased in a number of fields. With regard to the increasing development of information and communication technologies and the pervasive use of mobile devices for educational purposes, we aimed to evaluate the factors affecting the acceptance of mobile learning use. METHODS: This cross-sectional study was conducted on the medical students of Babol University of Medical Sciences during 2013-2014. Data related to the acceptance of mobile learning including age, gender, type of device, as well as the time and place of device use, were collected using a questionnaire; afterwards, the obtained data were evaluated. FINDINGS: Mobile learning was not significantly correlated with age, gender, or time of device use among the students of Babol University of Medical Sciences. However, mobile learning was significantly correlated with the type of device and the place of use. CONCLUSION: The results showed that the type of device and the place of use had significant impacts on the acceptance of mobile learning. KEY WORDS: Effective Factors, Acceptance, Mobile Learning.
