Trend Analysis of the Competitive Balance in Iranʹs Premier League of Football and other Asian Premier Leagues Using Standards such as Premier K, Lorenz Curve and Gini Coefficient

در دهة اخیر، مقوله تعادل رقابتی لیگ‌های حرفه‌ای در رشته اقتصاد ورزش توجهات زیادی رابه خود جلب كرده است. تعادل رقابتی به پیش‌بینی هواداران در مورد این كه چه تیمی برنده خواهد شد، اطلاق می‌شود. لیگ‌های ورزشی برای پویا بودن و باقی ماندن در عرصه رقابت اقتصادی در ورزش، به سطح بهینه‌ای از تعادل رقابتی نیاز دارند. در این تحقیق به بررسی تعادل رقابتی در لیگ حرفه‌ای فوتبال ایران و لیگ‌های برتر آسیا با استفاده از شاخص‌های اقتصادی ( k برتر، منحنی لورنز و ضریب جینی) پرداخته شده است. تحقیق حاضر از نوع تحقیقات توصیفی بوده و جهت جمع‌آوری داده‌ها جداول رده‌بندی لیگ‌های برتر كشورهای مورد مطالعه از فصل 2006 تا 2013 مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. نتایج نشان داد كه لیگ ایران تنها از نظر شاخص k تیم برتر در ردة بهترین‌ها قرار داشته است؛ اما از حیث دو شاخص دیگر پایین‌ترین رده را به خود اختصاص داده است. لذا پیشنهاد می‌گردد برای افزایش تعادل رقابتی لیگ، مسؤولین فدراسیون فوتبال و سازمان لیگ فوتبال با وضع قوانین لازم در تمامی مسایل اعم از نقل و انتقالات، جذب منابع مالی برای تمامی باشگاه‌ها، حق پخش تلویزیونی و تبلیغات محیطی بتواند شرایطی را فراهم آورد تا رقابت بین تیم‌های لیگ بیشتر گردد.

In recent decades, the idea of competitive balance of professional leagues has greatly been attended to in Sports Economics. Competitive Balance refers to the fansʹ prediction of which team may win. In order to remain dynamic and actively present in the economic competitions of sport fields, major sports leagues need an optimal level of competitive balance. Thus, the present research has meant to study the competitive balance of Iranʹs premier league of football and those of other major Asian leagues using such economic standards as premier K, Lorenz Curve and Gini Coefficient. This study is a descriptive one in which, for gaining the necessary data, we have gathered and studied the ranking tables of the premier leagues of the intended countries from 2006 to 2013. Results thus gained showed that the leagues of Iran with respect to premier K factor, have the best possible status,but of circumstances tow standards took the one to sixth positions. So, we suggest that proper regulations be set by the officials of football federations and the premier leagues organization so that through such factors as playersʹ transfer, providing the conditions for making incomes for all the clubs from the right of TV projection of their games, and advertisements they can have better competitions among them.
