Recent British Policies for Science and Technology Production

در اين مقاله برخي از ابعاد اجتماعي و فرهنگي سياست علم و فناوري در بريتانيا از منظر فرهنگي بررسي شده است. در مقدمه موضوع مقاله معرفي و سپس گفتمانها و زمينه فرهنگي علم و سياست علم و فناوري در اروپا شرح داده شده است. در بخش ديگر مقاله نگرش پارلمان و دولت بريتانيا به علم و نيز نهادها و برنامه‎هاي سياستگذار و سياست علم در بريتانيا، به خصوص شوراهاي تحقيقات در اين كشور، بررسي شده است. در ادامه مقاله به سياستهاي و برنامه‎هاي فرهنگي بريتانيا براي توليد علم پرداخته و به خصوص برنامه‎هاي مربوط به تحكيم پيوند علم و جامعه يا علم در خدمت مردم معرفي شده است. بخش پاياني مقاله به تحليل ويژگي‎هاي سياست توليد علم در بريتانيا اختصاص دارد.

This article examines and introduces some cultural and social aspects of recent British policies for science and technology production and promotion. The Introduction introduces different parts of the article and the core idea of each section. Then, discourses and cultural backgrounds of European science and technology policies are examined. The next section examines the British government and parliament’s attitudes and approaches towards science and technology. Then, governmental bodies for the science and technology policy such as the British Councils For Research and their policies are introduced. The next section is devoted to British policies for promoting and strengthening links and relations between science and technology and British society. The final section, reviews and examines some features and dimensions of British science and technology policy system.
