گسترش تشيع در دكن سده‌هاي دهم و يازدهم هجري

تشيع در درازناي تاريخ خود، همواره نقاط اوجي داشته كه بر پايه آنها، به شيوه‌هاي گوناگون گسترش مي‌يافته و پيروانش در سراسر جهان، فزوني مي‌گرفته‌اند. سده‌هاي دهم و يازدهم هجري نيز نقطه اوجي در تاريخ تشيع به شمار مي‌رود؛ زيرا حكومت صفويه در اين قرن در ايران تاسيس شد و با حمايت رسمي‌اش از تشيع، زمينه را براي گسترش آن در ايران فراهم آورد. هم‌زمان با حكومت صفويان در ايران، در منطقه دكن (جنوب هند) نيز روي‌دادهايي پيش آمد كه آنها را مي‌توان نقطه اوج تاريخ تشيع در آن‌جا خواند؛ اوجي كه به‌رغم اهميت فراوانش، نزد پژوهش‌گران حوزه تاريخ تشيع، كم‌تر شناخته شده است. اين پژوهش به دنبال پاسخ به اين پرسش است كه تاثير برپايي حكومت‌هاي محلي شيعيان در دكن سده‌هاي ياد شده، در گسترش تشيع در آن مناطق چه بود؟ اين تحقيق بر اين فرضيه استوار است كه به‌رغم كوشش‌هاي حاكمان اين حكومت‌ها در پشتيباني از مذهب تشيع، شمار فراواني از مردم اين منطقه، به اين مذهب نگرويدند، بلكه اين كارها تنها زمينه را براي آشنايي آنان با تشيع و گرايش به آن در دوره‌هاي بعدي فراهم كرد. اين مقاله با استفاده از روش كتابخانه‌اي و بررسي تطبيقي و تحليلي منابع، با اشاره‌اي كوتاه به پيشينه حضور شيعيان در منطقه دكن، كارهاي حاكمان محلي آن‌جا را در زمينه حمايت از تشيع، سير گسترش تشيع در اين منطقه و ميزان گرايش مردم به اين مذهب در دوره ياد شده برمي‌رسد و فرضيه‌اش را تاييد مي‌كند.

Shiʹism, throughout its history, has always experienced pinnacles upon which it has spread variously and increased the number of its followers. The tenth and eleventh centuries (AD) are among these flourishing periods. During this time, the Safavid state was founded, and with its official support, Shiʹism began to proliferate in Iran. Concurrent with the Safavid state in Iran, in Deccan (a region in southern India) some other events took place which in turn played significant roles in promoting and disseminating Shiʹism there. Despite the significance of these occurred events, few history researchers have made them subject to study. This research seeks to investigate the impact of the Shiite local governments established in Deccan on the expansion of Shiʹism there. The research is based on this hypothesis that despite the governorsʹ support of Shiʹism, a large number of people in the area did not embrace this religion. Such attempts, however, paved the way for familiarizing the people with Shiʹism and prepared the grounds for its embracement in the later periods. The current research was conducted through library-oriented method and comparative analysis of sources. It starts with a brief introduction to the life history of Shiites in Deccan, and then reviews the attempts made by its local governors in supporting and expanding Shiʹism there, and the extent to which this religion was embraced by the people; which eventually confirms the hypothesis.
