Uvular Consonant in Standard Persian

مقاله حاضر تحليلي صوت‌شناختي از همخوان ملازي فارسي معيار در سه جايگاه آغازين، ميان‌واكه‌اي و پاياني ارايه مي‌نمايد. داده‌هاي پژوهش شامل 792 نمونه است كه از تكرار توليد 24 كلمه فارسي در شرايط آزمايشگاهي از سخنگويان فارسي معيار به دست آمده است. در اين مطالعه، شيوه توليد و واك‌داري همخوان ملازي در چارچوب آواشناسي صوت‌شناختي مورد بررسي قرار گرفته است. مطابق نتايج حاصل از اين بررسي، همخوان ملازي از نظر واجي يك همخوان انسدادي واك‌دار قلمداد مي‌شود. اين همخوان در جايگاه ميان‌واكه‌اي در بيشتر مواقع تضعيف شده و به‌صورت ناسوده يا سايشي تظاهر مي‌يابد. واژه‌هاي كليدي: بررسي صوت‌شناختي، همخوان ملازي، شيوه توليد، واك‌داري، فارسي معيار

Uvular Consonant in Standard Persian Mandana Nourbakhsh Received: 2012/01/07 Accepted: 2013/02/13 Abstract This study presents an acoustic analysis of uvular consonant in Standard Contemporary Persian. SCP is the official language of Iran, the variety spoken by educated people in Tehran and in the media. The total data set comprises seven hundred and ninety two items from the repetition of twenty four single meaningful words of Persian produced in laboratory conditions by native-speaker subjects. Acoustic analyses were made from related waveforms and spectrog-rams. Measurements underwent descriptive statistical analysis. Results of the study provided evidence for manner of articulation and voicing category of uvular consonant in initial, intervocalic and final positions. It was indicated that in essence, the uvular consonant is a voiced stop which is transcribed as /?/ in International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). Generally it appears as a voiced fricative or sonorant consonant in intervocalic position transcribed as [?]. This allophonic variation can be regarded as a phonological weakening phenomenon.
