يكي از كارهاي مهم عالمان تصوف و عرفان اسلامي، تدوين و نوشتن كتاب‌هايي براي آموزش يا پاسخ به سوالات مريدان و رهروان و در‌مجموع براي راهنمايي اهل طريقت و جويندگان اين راه بوده است. در اين كتاب‌ها بنا به اعتقاد نويسنده و سليقه او، مباحث مهم اصولي و عملي عرفان و نيز سرگذشت‌ها و سخنان بزرگان و پيشوايان طريقت گردآوري مي‌شده است. كشف‌‌المحجوب هجويري غزنوي، نخستين متن تاليفي به‌زبان فارسي در زمينه‌هاي گوناگون عرفان است. اين كتاب درواقع دايره‌المعارفي از مباحث، اصول، انديشه‌ها و اصطلاحات عرفاني است كه مولف در كتاب خود گرد آورده است. هجويري خود از عالمان و دانايان عامل بوده است. يكي از موضوعات و مبناهاي مهم در كتاب، سيره و سخنان حضرت علي‌(ع) و ايمه اهل بيت(ع) است كه همراه با توصيف سيماي نوراني آن بزرگان در متن آمده است. سيره علوي و زندگي و گفتار اميرالمومنين و فرزندان پاكش، منبع الهام‌بخش و اسوه كردار كساني است كه مي‌خواهند دل از دنيا بكنند و تهذيب نفس و خدمت براي رضاي حق را در‌پيش بگيرند. درواقع علماي عرفان و تصوف به پيروي از سنت حضرت رسول(ص) و صحابه، به‌ويژه اهل بيت(ع)، زندگي، سيره و سخنان آن بزرگان را سرمشق خود قرار مي‌داده‌اند. در اين مقاله، سيما، سيره و سخنان ايمه اهل بيت از امام علي(ع) تا امام صادق‌(ع) و نحوه پرداختن به آن و نيز بهره‌هاي معنوي آن و موضوعات مهمي چون نماز، ايثار، نحوه پوشش، ... بررسي شده است.

One of the important things carried out by the scholars in Sufism and Islamic mysticism was to write books in order to teach or to answer the questions raised by the disciples and, in general, to guide the researchers in the path of truth. In these books, the basic and practical discussions of mysticism as well as the life stories and the observations of the leaders in the path of truth would be compiled in accordance with interest of the respective authors. Kashful Mahjoub by Hajviri Ghaznavi is the first volume on various aspects of mysticism in Farsi. In fact, this book is an encyclopedia, including mystic discussions, basics, ideas, and terminology compiled by the author. Hajviri was a practicing scholar and a learned man. One of the important and underlying subjects in his book is the practices and statements of Imams that are provided along with the description of the holy character of those great people. In fact, the mystics would set the life, practices, and statements of the Prophet and the companions, especially Ahlul Bayt, as their model. This paper deals with the character, practices, and statements of Ahlul Bayt – from Imam Ali (AS) to Imam Sadigh (AS) – and the resultant spiritual benefits.
