Meta-synthesis of the Regional Innovation Models: A Review from 1990-2013

در دهههاي اخير مطالعات گستردهاي پيرامون «توسعه نوآوري در مناطق» صورت پذيرفته است كه بيشتر در حوزه مطالعات كيفي و موردي هستند. مقاله حاضر تلاش نموده است تا با استفاده از روش فراتركيب، يافتههاي مطالعات كيفي، مرتبط با مدلهاي نوآوري منطقهاي را به صورت نظاممند بررسي كند و بر اساس زمينههاي اصلي شناساييشده، به تحليل دلايل و بستر شكلگيري اين مدلها بپردازد. در اين تحقيق، 300 مقاله برگرفته از پايگاه دادههاي سيج1 و اسكوپوس2 در بازه تاريخي سالهاي 1990 تا 2013 مورد بررسي قرار گرفت. در نهايت پس از دو مرحله غربالگري، 48 مقاله به عنوان مقاله با كيفيت بالا و متوسط جهت تحليل عميقتر شناسايي شدند. سپس بر اساس نتايج حاصل از روش فراتركيب كه از ابزار كدگذاري باز براي تحليل مقالات استفاده نموده است، سه زمينه اصلي و زير مجموعه آنها شناسايي شدند. زمينههاي اصلي شامل سطح توسعهيافتگي مناطق به ويژه در بخش نهادي، كاهش نقش دخالتهاي مستقيم دولتها در ارتباط با صنعت و بنگاههاي صنعتي، جهانيسازي و افزايش ارتباطات بينالمللي هستند. هر كدام از زمينههاي اصلي، شامل تعدادي زمينه فرعي نيز هستند كه در تحليلها مورد نظر قرار گرفتهاند. در ادامه بر اساس تحليل ارايهشده، مناطق از نظر ميزان نوآوري، به سهگونه مناطق نوآور پيشرو، مناطق نوآور در حال گذار و مناطق كمتر نوآور تقسيم شدند. اين تقسيمبندي ميتواند ابزار مناسبي جهت توسعه سياستهاي نوآوري منطقهاي باشد.

In recent decades, several researches and studies have been conductedon regional innovation development. Most studies have used qualitative research methodologies and done in form of case studies. Hence, this paper has tried to investigate the findings of related qualitative studies systematically; based on the identified themes; the authors analyzed the reasons and contexts of the regional innovation models.There is no similar study about the topic in regional innovation models. In this study, the authors investigated 300 papers from Sage and Scopus databases dated from 1990 to 2013 and finally after two screenings from related papers, 48 papers were identified as high and average quality papers fordeep analysis.Thereafter, authors identified three themes and related sub-themes according to the findings from meta-synthesis method, based on open coding method for paper analysis. The main themes are 1) the level of regional development especially in institutional section, 2) the decrease of governmental roles in industries andfirms and 3) globalization and the increase of international relations. Also there are several sub-themes for the themes used for analysis.Moreover, based on the analysis, the regions were categorized in three clusters related to their innovation levels. Early innovators, transitional innovators and advanced innovators are three regional model categories that are useful for policy makers to make better decisions. Finally, some suggestions have been propounded for innovation development in the region of Iran based on results.
