از زمان اكتشاف صنعتي نفت در ايران تاثيرگذاري اين ماده در ساختار سياسي- اجتماعي ايران معاصر تا حدي است كه مطالعه تاريخ سياسي ايران در يك قرن اخير بدون در نظر گرفتن اين ماده ناقص و مبهم خواهد بود. اكتشاف نفت در ايران توسط انگلستان صورت گرفت و پس از آن همواره كشورهاي قدرتمند چشم طمع به اين ماده داشته‌اند؛ به گونه‌اي كه از تمام راه‌هاي ممكن اعم از تطميع دولت‌مردان، سركوب، كودتا، جنگ و... سعي در حفظ منافع نفتي خود در ايران داشته‌اند. كودتاي 28 مرداد اوج دخالت كشورهايي چون انگلستان و آمريكا در ايران بود. نفت يكي از مهم‌ترين دلايل اهميت ايران براي آمريكا بود. ايران و نفتش به حدي براي آمريكا مهم بود كه همواره تلاش مي‌كرد مسايل سياسي ايران را با نفوذي كه در بدنه دولت پهلوي داشت مديريت كند، نتيجه اين امر وابستگي مفرط دولت پهلوي به آمريكا بود وابستگي شاه به آمريكا به حدي بود كه موجب شكل‌گيري حس بيگانه‌ستيزي در عموم مردم ايران و تاكيد انقلابيون بر «استقلال» دولت ايران از سلطه كشورهاي خارجي شد. اين مقاله طي پژوهشي تبييني و با روش تاريخي به تشريح نقش نفت در وابستگي رژيم پهلوي به آمريكا پرداخته و نقش اين وابستگي را در سقوط اين رژيم بيان كرده است.يافت.

The oil has been had the effective presence in political aspect of Iran from industrial discovery until know. The effect of oil is as much as in social-political structure of Iran that the survey political history of Iran won’t be possible without considering that. The discovery of oil in Iran be done by western country and after that the western countries like to have this valuable material as they use many ways to keep it, Such as: the lure of government, repression, war, coup dʹétat and etc. A coup dʹétat of August 19th was the peak of intervention of some countries like England and America to preserve their oily sources in Iran. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi had returned to power by America and England. he preserved his political, economic and cultural dependency on these countries especially America until thatʹs dominance. The oil was one of the most important reasons of Iranʹs importance for America. Iran and thatʹs oil was really important for America as that tried to manage Iranʹs political problem with having authority in Pahlaviʹs state. Thatʹs result was Pahlaviʹs excessive dependency on America. Shahʹs dependency on America was very much as it yields to form the sense of anti-colonialism among Iranians and the emphasis of revolutionist on the independence of Iran from the dominance of foreign countries. This article has clarified the effect of oil on Pahlavi regimeʹs dependency on America and thatʹs fall through historical and explicative method.
