تحلیل و بررسی تصاویر خلق شده توسط هر یك از شاعران، مشخص كننده‌ی نوع نگرش آن‌ها نسبت به پیرامون خویش است. در این میان نقش هنرهای بیانی و تمهیدات ادبی و صور خیال در راستای ساختن این تصاویر، انكار ناشدنی و پر اهمیت است. تشبیه، از جمله هنرهای اصلی علم بیان كه خود زیر ساخت صنایع بلاغی دیگر همچون استعاره نیز هست، برگرفته از ذهن خلاقِ سازنده‌ی خویش، گستره‌ای از سادگی و تكرار تا تازگی و ابداع را در بر می‌گیرد. در این مقاله برآنیم تا با محور قرار دادن مقوله‌ی وجه‌شبه به شرح و بیان نقش تصویر در تأویل، در شعر فارسی بپردازیم و نشان دهیم آنچه یك تصویر را، اگر چه تكراری، ممتاز و برجسته می‌سازد، وجه‌شبهی است كه شاعر برای آن، چه در روساخت و چه در زیر ساخت تصویر در نظر می‌گیرد. تعدد وجه‌شبه و چندمعنایی بودن آن، موجب می‌شود با تصاویری مواجه گردیم كه چندین تفسیر و معنا از آن‌ها قابل دریافت باشد و سبب‌ساز تأویل‌های متعدد شود. بنابراین یكی از مواضع هرمنوتیك در شعر، كه همان علم تفسیر و تأویل متن در ادبیات است، زمانی است كه در یك تصویر با چند وجه معنایی مواجه باشیم. عدم ذكر وجه شبه و دوگانگی آن (صنعت استخدام) در تشبیه و بررسی استعاره و نماد از زوایای مختلف معنایی با درنظر گرفتن چندین فضای متفاوت از موارد دیگری است كه در برخورد با یك تصویر، تأویل‌های چندگانه‌ای را به دنبال خواهد داشت.
