An Analysis and Criticism of the Translations of Hafez’s Ghazals into Arabic

در مقاله حاضر، هشت ترجمه موجود از تمام يا گزيده اي از غزليات خواجه حافظ شيرازي به زبان عربي گردآوري و معرفي مي گردد. ميزان توفيق مترجمان عرب زبان در انتقال انديشه و هنر حافظ بررسي مي شود و به كيفيت فهم اشعار و تمايز سبكي اين ترجمه ها در زبان مبدا و مقصد پرداخته مي شود. انگيزه و زاويه ديد مترجم در هر اثر، بازگو مي گردد و رويكرد ترجمه اعم از تحت‌اللفظي، ارتباطي و آزاد بيان مي شود؛ تلاش خواهد شد ريزه كاري هاي رويكرد هر مترجم پيگيري و يكدستي رويكرد نيز با مثال هاي گوناگون، تبيين گردد. سپس به شيوه‌اي توصيفي– تحليلي، كيفيت پاره‌اي از مولفه‌هاي سبك‌آفرين حافظ همچون آرايه‌هاي لفظي و معنوي، موسيقي، ارجاعات تاريخي و فرهنگي، لحن، تنوّع ساختارها و غيره در اين ترجمه ها مورد بررسي قرار مي گيرد. همچنين با عنايت به بستر مشترك شعر فارسي و عربي، برخي ظرافت ها و تفاوت هاي فرهنگي نيز ذكر مي شود و به توان مترجمان در بومي‌سازي مفاهيم به زبان عربي توجه مي گردد. همچنان كه امتيازات و نقاط قوت هر ترجمه بررسي مي شود، برخي از كژتابي‌هاي مترجمان در فهم غزليات حافظ يا برابرنهاده هاي تحت اللفظي و نارسا نيز ارزيابي مي گردد. اما به طور كلي، بنا به دلايل گوناگون مي توان گفت حافظ غالبا شخصيتي يك سويه و تك بعدي در ادبيات عربي مي يابد و اين ترجمه ها نيز كمتر، قابل تاويل و دلنشين مخاطب مي گردد.

In the current research, eight available full as well as partial Arabic translations of the Divan of Hafez have been introduced. The Arabic translators’ success in transferring Hafiz’s artistic plays and thoughts is investigated and the quality of understanding the poems and the stylistic distinctions of the translations in source and target languages are also dealt with.The article has also envisaged themotivation and point of view of each work and the translator’s approaches to the source text as literal, communicative and free translation. Drawing on different examples, the paper has tried to pursue the delicacies of each approach as well as the problem of method consistency. Furthermore, the researcher has examined the quality of some figures of speech in Hafez’s poems including rhythm, allusion or cultural and historical references, tone, structural variation, etc. in the translations based on a descriptive-analytical methodology. While the priorities and merits of each translation are being investigated, some of the misunderstandings of the translators as well as the partial translations or literal equivalents will be discussed. Hafiz mostly enjoys a rigid personality in Arabic literature and the translations of him become less interpretable and enjoyable for the audience.
