Environmental and Biological Factors Influencing Infant’s Low Birth Weight in Teenage Mothers: A Systematic Review

عوامل بيولوژيك و محيطي مؤثر بر كم‌وزني نوزاد در مادران نوجوان: مروري سيستماتيك

زمینه و هدف: بارداری در سن پایین، به‌عنوان یكی از عوامل مهم در ایجاد خطرات و نتایج ناخوشایند این دوران مطرح است. یكی از این عوارض، كم‌وزنی نوزاد در هنگام تولد (LBW) می‌باشد كه از شاخص‌های مهم بهداشتی در هر كشور محسوب می‌شود. در این مطالعه متون مربوط به عوامل محیطی و بیولوژیك مؤثر بر كم‌وزنی نوزاد، هنگام تولد در مادران باردار نوجوان مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. روش بررسی: در مطالعه حاضر از مقالات ایندكس‌شده در پایگاه‌های اطلاعاتی Magiran، SID، Google Scholar، Scopus، Science Direct، Pubmed استفاده شد. یافته‌ها: در مطالعه حاضر، مجموعاً 22 مقاله در رابطه با بارداری در سنین نوجوانی و كم‌وزنی نوزاد در هنگام تولد بررسی گردید. همچنین تمامی عوامل مؤثر بر كم‌وزنی نوزاد در نوجوانان در حیطه‌های عوامل بیولوژیك و عوامل محیطی مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج مطالعه حاضر نشان ‌داد عوامل محیطی و مسائل بیولوژیك، از عوامل مؤثر بر كم‌وزنی نوزاد در بارداری نوجوانان محسوب می‌شوند. بنابراین، برای كاهش معضل اجتماعی كم‌وزنی نوزاد و بهبود این شاخص بهداشتی هم در مسائل محیطی و هم بیولوژیك، انجام مداخله بهداشتی ضروری است.

Background and Objectives: Pregnancy in low age has been proposed as one of the important factors causing risks and adverse outcomes. One of these complications is low birth weight (LBW), which is an important health indicator in any countries. In this study, texts related to Environmental and Biological Factors Influencing Infant’s Low Birth Weight in teenage mothers was reviewed. Methods: In the present study, articles indexed in the databases Pubmed, Science Direct, Scopus, Google Scholar, SID, Magiran, were used. Results: In the present study, a total of 22 articles related to teenage pregnancy and low birth weight were studied. Also, all factors influencing infants’ low birth weight in teenegers were evaluated in the areas of biological and environmental factors. Conclusion: The results of the present study showed that environmental and biological parameters are factors influencing low birth weight in teenage pregnancy. Thus, to reduce social problem of low birth weight and to improve this indicator in both environmental and biological issues, health intervention is necessary.
