توليدات علمي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اردبيل در بانك اطلاعاتي Scopus

Scientific Products of Ardabil University of Medical Sciences, Iran, in Scopus Database

مقدمه: در عصر اطلاعات امروزي، اصلي‌ترين شاخص تعيين جايگاه علمي كشورها و مراكز علمي، ميزان مشاركت در توليد علم و فن‌آوري است. در اين ميان، دانشگاه‌ها و موسسات آموزشي، جز اصلي‌ترين مراكز علم محسوب مي‌شوند. در اين پژوهش، ضمن شناسايي وضعيت علمي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اردبيل با توجه به متغيرهاي مورد بررسي در پايگاه اطلاعاتي Scopus، شاخص‌هاي علم‌سنجي اعضاي هيات علمي اين دانشگاه نيز تا پايان ماه جولاي سال 2014 ارزيابي شد. روش بررسي: در مطالعه كاربردي حاضر كه به صورت توصيفي انجام شد، اطلاعات كتاب‌شناختي تمامي آدرس‌هايي كه به دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اردبيل مربوط مي‌شد، از پايگاه Scopus استخراج گرديد. سپس از اين پايگاه، تمام اسناد تا پايان ماه جولاي سال 2014 جمع‌آوري شد. شاخص‌هاي ميزان مشاركت در توليدات علمي، نحوه مشاركت بر اساس نويسنده اول و نويسنده مسوول، تعداد استنادات به مقاله و شاخص H (H-index) مورد بررسي قرار گرفت. يافته‌ها: دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اردبيل با 3 آدرس، در كل داراي 280 مقاله بود. تعداد مقالات دانشگاه، از 1 مقاله در سال 2000 به 56 مقاله در سال 2013 افزايش يافته بود. بيشترين اسناد منتشر شده و همچنين، بيشترين استناد به مدارك توليد شده، به سال 2013 اختصاص داشت. مقالات اصيل با 45 مقاله، بيشترين و نامه به سردبير با 1 مقاله، كمترين تعداد را به خود اختصاص داد. ميزان H-index دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اردبيل تا پايان ماه جولاي سال 2014، برابر با 19 بود. نتيجه‌گيري: افزايش ميزان توليدات علمي دانشگاه، بيانگر رشد توليدات علمي و استنادهاي آن‌ها در پايگاه اطلاعاتي Scopus است. با وجود رشد زياد در اين مدت، وضعيت دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اردبيل در بين ساير موسسات و دانشگاه‌هاي وابسته به وزارت بهداشت، درمان و آموزش پزشكي مطلوب نيست. به نظر مي‌رسد كه بالا بردن ميزان توليدات علمي دانشگاه، نيازمند توجه بيشتر مسوولان دانشگاه مي‌باشد. واژه‌‌هاي كليدي: علم‌سنجي؛ پايگاه‌هاي اطلاعاتي؛ دانشگاه؛ Scopus

Abstract Introduction: Today, in the era of information, the main parameter for scientific assessment of countries, and academic centers is their contributions to the development of science and technology. This study was conducted to evaluate scientific outcomes of Ardabil University of Medical Sciences and its faculty members until the end of July 2014. Methods: In a descriptive study on bibliographic information, all documents affiliated to Ardabil University of Medical Sciences (280 essays) in Scopus database were collected. Then, the contribution to academic production was evaluated through the number of citations to each document, type of authorship according to first or corresponding author, H-index, target journal, and collaboration with other institutes. Results: Ardabil University of Medical Sciences was illustrated with 3 addresses which contained 280 essays. The number of essays had increased from 1 in 2000 to 56 in 2013. Most essays and the most cited papers were published in 2013. The highest number of the essays were original articles (n = 45) and lowest number were editorial letters (n = 1). The H-index of the university was equal to 19 at the end of July 2014. Conclusion: The increase in the number of essays from 2000 to 2013 shows the increase in scientific outcomes in Scopus database. Despite the high growth in scientific outcome during the studied period, the rank of Ardabil University of Medical Sciences among other institutions and universities affiliated to the Iranian Ministry of Health is not desirable. Thus, it seems that the greater attention of university authorities is necessary to increase the level of scientific production. Keywords: Scientometrics; Databases; Universities; Scopus
