Morphology of Homay Nameh

هماي نامه از منظومه هاي پهلواني نه چندان شناخته شده متعلّق به قرن ششم يا هفتم ادب فارسي، از نويسنده اي ناشناس است. پشتوانه نظري اين پژوهش، روش «ولاديمير پراپ»، «آرتور آسا برگر» و «پل ريكور» از ساخت‌گرايان معروف در ريخت‌شناسي داستان ها و قصّه هاي عاميانه، اساطيري و پهلواني است. نتايج تحليل نشان مي دهد كه اين داستان دربردارنده وضعيّت آغازين، روي‌دادهاي ناشي از كم‌بود و شرارت و پاياني خوش براي قهرمان تشكيل يافته است. مي توان توالي كنش ها در منظومه را بر مبناي عناصر مهمّ شخصيّت، انگيزش، كاركرد، حركت و تكرار، ريخت شناسي كرد. هفت شخص اين داستان با در نظر گرفتن چند وجهي بودن شخصيّت آنان، شامل اشخاص يادشده در نظريه پراپ است؛ با اين تفاوت كه به جاي «قهرمان دروغين»، شخصيّت «جانشين قهرمان» حضور دارد. تعداد عناوين كاركردهاي اصلي با تكرار، هشتاد و سه كاركرد است، با اين تاكيد كه بعضي از آن‌ها در مقايسه با نظريه پراپ تازه است و در تعدادي كاركردها با عنوان مشابه، مفاهيم جديد ارايه شده است. كاركرد «جنگ» و «پيروزي» بيش‌ترين عناصر تكرارشونده داستان است و حركت ها از تركيب سه شيوه حركت هاي داستاني و الگوي حركت «برگر» بهره برده است. بنابراين، مي توان به نمونه اي از ساختار منظومه هاي پهلواني بخصوص عاشقانه- پهلواني (رمانس پهلواني) دست يافت و آن را در آثار مشابه جست‌وجو كرد.

Homay Nameh is a barely known heroic epic belonging to about sixth or seventh century in Persian Literature whose anonymous composer makes it worthy of analysis. This research is based on the methods put forward by the prominent structuralists such as Vladimir Propp, Arthur Asa Berger and Paul Ricoeur in the domain of morphology of stories, folk, mythic and epic tales. The outcome of the analysis shows that the story is composed of a general framework encompassing the starting point, events arising from shortcomings and evil doings and a happy ending for the hero. The morphological analysis of Homay Nameh can be embarked upon on the basis of significant elements such as character, motivation, function, movement, and repetition in order to follow the sequence of actions in this epic. The seven multifaceted characters in the story is reminiscent of characters in Proppʹs theory with one difference that in place of "false hero" the character of "heroʹs successor" is present. The number of main functional titles considering the repetition is eighty three. It must be emphasized that some functions in comparison with Proppʹs theory are new and some similar titles present novel concepts. The functions of "war" and "victory" are among the most repetitive elements of the story and from the movement point of view the story makes use of the combination of three manners of story movements and that of movement pattern proposed by Berger. Once the structure of a heroic epic, in particular epic romance found, one can seek the format in other similar works.
