جايگاه كمي و كيفي جمعيت ايران در ميان كشورهاي اسلامي سال 1390 شمسي

كشورهاي مسلمان با وجود پيشينه‌ي تاريخي- اسلامي چندين هزار ساله و امور مشترك فرهنگي- ديني به‌عنوان غني ترين كانون فرهنگي تمدن جهان و دارا بودن منابع عظيم طبيعي، مزيت ها و ظرفيت هاي توسعه اي استثنايي، اغلب از مناطق كم‌تر توسعه‌يافته‌ي جهان محسوب مي شوند. وسعت كشورهاي اسلامي بيش از 29 ميليون كيلومتر مربع شامل 59 كشور و داراي جمعيتي بيش از يك ميليارد و پانصد و نود و دو ميليون نفر است. به‌عبارتي اين كشورها با دارا بودن حدود 20 درصد از مساحت خاكي جهان بيش از 4/22 درصد از جمعيت دنيا را درون خود جاي داده اند. اعتقاد بر اين است كه آگاهي و شناخت نسبت به آمار و اطلاعات هر جامعه كمك شايان توجهي به برنامه ريزي و سياستگزاري كشورهاي اسلامي مي نمايد. لذا مطالعه‌ي حاضر به بررسي كمي و كيفي جمعيت و ويژگي هاي آن در كشورهاي اسلامي پرداخته و سپس در هر شاخص جايگاه و موقعيت ايران را در ميان كشورهاي اسلامي نشان خواهد داد. به‌نظر مي رسد تعيين جايگاه ايران در ميان كشورهاي منطقه كمك موثري در برنامه-ريزي هاي اجتماعي، اقتصادي، سياسي و منطقه اي كشور خواهد داشت. يافته‌هاي اين بررسي حاكي از آن است كه ايران از جمله كشورهاي پرجمعيت و پهناور منطقه محسوب شده و از نظر شاخص هاي كيفي جمعيت نيز در جايگاه نسبتاً مناسبي در ميان كشورهاي اسلامي قرار گرفته است. با وجود اين لازم است كه با افزايش شاخص اميد زندگي در بدو تولد و كاهش سطح مرگ و مير كودكان كم‌تر از يك سال تلاش هاي مضاعفي صورت پذيرد و از اين حيث نيز جايگاه خود را در منطقه ارتقا دهد.
