يادگيري مبتني بر تيم: كاربرد شيوه نوين آموزش در پري‌كلينيك دندانپزشكي ترميمي و بررسي تأثير آن بر مهارت‌هاي عملي دانشجويان دانشكده دندانپزشكي مشهد

Team based learning: An innovative teaching method in preclinic course of restorative dentistry and its impact on the students’ clinical skills, Mashhad dental school

زمینه و هدف: یافتن شیوه‌هایی برای ارتقاء ماندگاری یادگیری در واحدهای بالینی بسیار مهم است. هدف از این مطالعه، معرفی روش نوین آموزش در پری‌كلینیك دندانپزشكی ترمیمی و بررسی تأثیر آن بر مهارت‌های عملی دانشجویان بود. روش بررسی: در این مطالعه اقدام پژوهی، از روش یادگیری مبتنی بر تیم برای ارایه واحد درسی پری‌كلینیك ترمیمی در دانشكده دندانپزشكی مشهد، در نیم سال اول سال تحصیلی 92-1391 استفاده شد. بدین منظور، تعداد 48 نفر از دانشجویان سال چهارم، به صورت اختیاری در این دوره، شركت نمودند. دانشجویان به گروه‌های 4 نفره تقسیم شده و مراحل آموزش مبتنی بر تیم برایشان اجرا گردید. در پایان دوره، از دانشجویان با پرسشنامه‌ای روا و پایا نظرسنجی به عمل آمد. در پایان، به صورت نیمه تجربی، بعد از گذراندن واحد بالینی ترمیمی عملی 2، میانگین نمرات پایان بخش دانشجویان شركت كننده در واحد اختیاری ترمیمی با دانشجویانی كه در این واحد شركت نكرده بودند با استفاده از T-testمقایسه شد (05/0α=). یافته‌ها: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد كه میانگین نمرات دانشجویان شركت كننده در دوره (07/1±65/18) بالاتر از میانگین نمرات دانشجویانی كه در دوره شركت نداشتند (66/0±41/17)، بود (02/0P=). همچنین نتایج نظرسنجی نشان داد كه 97 درصد دانشجویان از برگزاری این دوره رضایت داشته و گذراندن آن را به این شیوه مفید تشخیص دادند. نتیجه‌گیری: این مطالعه نشان داد استفاده از روش نوین یادگیری مبتنی بر تیم، می‌تواند موجب ارتقاء یادگیری همراه با رضایت دانشجویان در واحد‌های عملی دندانپزشكی گردد.

Background and Aims: Implementation of innovative methods for promoting learning persistence is of high importance. The aim of this study was to introduce an innovative teaching method in preclinical course of restorative dentistry and to investigate its impact on the students’ clinical skills. Materials and Methods: In our study, which was done at the dental School of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, the Team Based Learning (TBL) technique was applied. 48 fourth-year students took part in the course optionally. They were divided into four groups and the stages of TBL were performed. At the end of the course, a questionnaire was administered to the students. After passing the clinical course of restorative dentistry, the mean scores of students who had passed the voluntary preclinical course were compared with those of who did not pass this course. Data was analyzed using T-test. Results: The results of this study revealed that the mean scores of students who had passed the voluntary preclinical course was higher than that of the students who did not pass the voluntary preclinical course (P=0.02). Moreover, the questionnaire showed that 97% of students were satisfied with this course and believed that it was useful for them. Conclusion: This study showed that the innovative method of Team Based Learning (TBL) could promoted learning along with students’ satisfaction of dental preclinical courses.
