The Status and Function of Difference in Human Community from the View point of Allameh Tabatabaee

خلقت مستلزم اختلاف است. چون تا كثرتي نباشد خلقتي نيست. اين معنا از اختلاف بر عالم مخلوقات حاكم است و مبناي همه انواع ديگر احتلاف است، اما در ميان انسان ها اگرچه اينگونه اختلاف وجود دارد، ولي نوع ديگري از اختلاف هم هست كه ناشي از انديشه ها، اراده ها و اعمال آدميان است. زماني كه اختلافات جامعه بشري به حدّ خاصي رسيد شرايع الهي نازل شدند تا به جامعه ساماني دهند. ولي با آمدن اديان، دسته اي از آدميان در خود دين اختلاف كردند و نوع تازه اي از اختلاف پديد آمد، بنابراين رسالت دين الهي داوري در ميان اختلافات ناشي از معيشت و اختلاف بر سر اصل دين است . نوع ديگري از اختلاف ، اختلاف در درجات ايمان است كه جز با گفتگوي آزاد و بحث عقلاني حل نمي شود. بنابراين گرچه دسته اي از اختلافات قابل رفع است ولي دسته اي از اختلافات عين حيات آدميان است و اصل در حيات آدمي، اداره كردن اختلافات است و نه رفع كامل آن كه در اين عالم محال وقوعي است.

Creation necessitates differences because creation is not fulfilled without plurality. This sense of difference governs the universe and it is the basis of all other types of differences. However, althoughthis kind of difference exists among human beings, there is another kind of difference arising out of ideas, willpowers and the actions of human beings. When differences in human community reached a certain level, divinesharirsquo ahswere revealed to create discipline in human community. Nonetheless,with the advent of religions, a group of people had differences overthe religion itself and a new kind of difference arose. Thus, the mission of divine religionsis to arbitrate among disputes arising out of disagreements over the very religion. Another type of difference refers to the differences in the rate of faith that cannot be resolved except through open dialogue and rational discussion. Hence, although a group of differencescan be resolved, another groupmakes the core of human life and what is of outmost importance in human life is how to handle disputes and not to get rid of them which is completely impossible.
