A Review of intermediate life and its features in accordance with Mulla Sadras theory

عالم برزخ، وجه علوي عالم دنيا و همان بقاي انس به دنياست و به همين دليل برخي از ويژگي‌هاي اين دنيا را دارد. دنيا، برزخ و قيامت از ديدگاه ملاصدرا هر كدام مراتبي از وجود انسان‌اند. در حقيقت انسان موجودي داراي مراتب تشكيكي است؛ به‌طوري‌كه مرتبه‌ي برزخ او از دنيا قوي‌تر، و مرتبه‌ قيامت او از برزخ شديدتر است. مراتب تكامل روح انسان با حدوث جسماني آغاز مي‌شود و در ادامه، وجودي مادّي- مثالي، مثالي و در نهايت ممكن است در سير تكامل برزخي خود به موجودي عقلي نيز تبديل شود. ازآنجاكه ملاصدرا آغاز عالم برزخ را به‌واسطه قوّه‌ خيال مي‌داند، از نظر ايشان ميان قدرت و ادراك عينيت برقرار است. همين‌كه انسان قدرت بر تصور و ادراك نعمت‌هاي بهشتي را دارد، بعينه آنها را نزد خود حاضر مي‌كند و با آنها لذت مي‌برد يا متألَم مي‌شود. البته زمينه‌ اين قدرت‌ها و ادراكات را از قبل و در عالم دنيا براي خود فراهم كرده است.

Intermediate world is the spiritual dimension of this world indicating some sort of familiarity with this world. That is why it has some of the features of this world. This world, the intermediate world and the next world each forms a stage of human existence. Man is in fact an existent that has graded stages, such that his intermediate world is stronger than his present world and his next world is stronger than his intermediate world. Mans evolutionary movement begins with his bodily creation, ending up in material-imaginary, imaginary and finally intellectual being. Since Mulla Sadra assumes that the intermediate world is primarily caused by imaginary faculty he says that there is oneness between power and perception. If a person is able to conceive the bounties of Paradise, he will be able to have them together with the feeling of pain or pleasure they produce. He needs however to create the grounds for such powers and perceptions beforehand when he is this world
