چكيده لاتين :
The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between chromatin stability status (SDS test) and in vitro ferlilization rates. We also evaluate the relation between this test with semen parameters and presence of excessive histone (by aniline blue staining). Semen samples were collected from 101 infertile patients reffering to the Isfahan Fertility and Infertility center for IVF. Semen samples were used for sperm processing and insemination of oocytes, and for semen analysis, Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) test and aniline blue staining. Our results showed no significant correlation between percentage fertilization rate and sperm chromatin stability. Among semen parameters only sperm progressive motiliy showed significant correlation with sperm chromation stability. A significant correlation was also obtained between sperm chromatin stability and percentage of Aniline blue staining . It can be concluded that even though sperm chromatin stability has no diagnostic value for prediction of fertilization, it can be used for assessment of nuclear chromatin decondensation ability of asthenospermic men with epididymal ethiology.
