Anemia is one of the most common diseases in the world especially in developing countries. Iron deficiency is the most common cause of anemia in children although chronic infections parastic infestations and congenital diseases are also important. In this survey 997 rural children 6-60 months were selected by simple stratified random sampling. The results showed 39% of cases were anemic (Hb
