Moral Development and Its Principles and Methods in Platos View

اين مقاله ديدگاه افلاطون را درباره رشد اخلاقي تحليل و بررسي مي‌كند. اگرچه نخستين تحقيق علمي درباره رشد اخلاقي و پيوند آن با رشد عقلاني را روان‌شناسان دوران معاصر انجام دادند، اما به گواهي تاريخ، مفهوم رشد اخلاقي و ارتباط آن با رشد عقلاني را نخستين بار افلاطون طرح كرد. در حالي كه روان‌شناسان با نگاهي توصيفي به بيان چگونگي پيشرفت ذهني و قضاوت‌هاي اخلاقي انسان و ارتباط آنها با يكديگر پرداخته‌اند، افلاطون به مثابه فيلسوفي فضيلت‌گرا با نگاهي هنجاري به تبيين نظريه خويش درباره رشد اخلاقي و معرفتي پرداخته، رشد اخلاقي را حاصل رشد همه‌جانبه ابعاد وجودي انسان تلقي مي‌كند. وي با توجه به محوريت فضايل در نظريه‌اش، مي‌كوشد با استفاده از روش‌هاي مبتني بر تلقين، عادت، تقليد از الگوها و نقل حكايات پندآموز در مراحل نازل تربيتي، منش فردي را ارتقا دهد و در مراحل عالي‌تر به رشد قدرت تفكر و بصيرت از طريق آموزش رياضيات و ديالكتيك بپردازد، به گونه‌اي كه فرد قادر به تشخيص درست و نادرست و عمل به آن باشد. اين مقاله درصدد است ماهيت رشد اخلاقي را از نظر افلاطون بر اساس نظريه اخلاقي و معرفتي‌اش بررسي كند و سپس به تبيين مهم‌ترين اصول، مباني فلسفي، عوامل و روش‌هاي مهم تربيتي وي بپردازد.

The present paper reviews and analyzes Platos view on moral development. Although contemporary psychologists conducted the first scientific research on moral development and its relationship with intellectual development, historical evidence shows that it was Plato who first discussed the concept of moral development and its relationship with intellectual development. As a virtue oriented philosopher, Plata explains his theory about moral and epistemic development through a normative perspective and regards moral development as the result of multilateral development of mans existential dimensions, while psychologists descriptively discuss about the way of mind development, mans moral judgments and their interrelationships. Considering virtues as the thrust of his theory, Plato tries to promote personal character by using the methods which are based on suggestion, habit, imitating models and narrating exemplary narrations in low stages of education, and deal with the development of the power of thinking and vision through teaching mathematics and dialectic in higher stages, so that an individual will be capable to differentiate correct from incorrect and actualize the correct. The present paper seeks to study the nature of moral development in Platos view based on his moral and epistemic theory, and elaborate on the most important philosophical foundations, principles, factors and methods of his educational method.
