The Effect of Positional Changes On SPO2 In Warfare Patients With COPD

This Quasi experimental study assessed the impact of position change on arterial oxygen saturation in warfare victims with COPD in 2000. In this study 31 patients were selected. The questionaire method and observational check Iist were used to collect data. For analysis of data, deductive and descriptive statistics were used. The results of this study showed that position change to right and left lateral (0 and 5 minutes) and to left lateral (0 and 15 minutes) affected arterial oxygen saturation (P<0.005). There was a significant difference between the arterial oxygen saturation in various changes of position. The upper average of arterial oxygen saturation was in deciasing order: supine, semifowlers, prone, right lateral and left lateral.
